Mt. Cuba Center welcomes new and experienced Wikipedia editors to our first Edit-a-thon on Friday, January 27, 2017 as part of week-long event Plants and People spearheaded by members of the Council on Botanical and Horticultural Libraries.

This Edit-a-thon will focus on creating and enhancing pages related to native plants of the Eastern United States. Editors will use the collections of the Mt. Cuba Center library to create and edit existing pages.

Training will be provided for those who have no prior experience editing Wikipedia. A training session will be offered during the first hour of this event. New editors are encouraged to attend this training. Experienced editors may arrive at any point during the event's duration.

Please register through our website, in addition to registering through this Wikipedia page.

The participants affiliated with this initiative will not make any edits that would not be beneficial to the goals of Wikipedia. We will modify our editing behavior if any edits conflict with Wikipedia guidelines. Please contact the Project Coordinator, Lfp85 (talk) if any activities appear to go against this statement.
