Wikipedia:Peer review/Don't Start Now/archive1

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I've listed this article for peer review because I am hoping to give it a go for FA status! It has been copyedited by a WP:GOCE member recently. I have tried to prune and trim the article as much as possible which has been difficult given how successful the song has been and how she performed it so many times!! I am all ears for new suggestions and would appreciate a peer review so much!

Thank you, Cool Marc 19:21, 2 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Firstly I will look at the media in this article( Pictures and sound samples etc.)

  • Captions that are complete sentences should end in periods - They look ok to me but double check them.
  • File:Dua Lipa - Don't Start Now.png: FUR is incomplete
  • File:Don't Start Now Times Square.jpeg: FUR is incomplete
  • File:Dua Lipa Don't Start Now.ogg FUR is in the wrong format. (See File:Imagine_(John_Lennon_song_-_sample).ogg) for an example
References
[edit]
  • Check reference 2, the article says it is subscription but I was able to read it without one.
  • I would go through the article and look at where there are instances of more than 2 references and keep the two most reliable/verifiable sources, unless the prose mentions something controversial.
  • I would also look at the use of twitter as a reference - even if it is Dua's official twitter. On three occasions there is a web source reference next to the tweet source. Plus in my opinion the emojis in the reference list because of the tweet make it look a bit messy.

Take these a starting point and I will go through the article in more detail to see if I can find anythign else. Wna247 (talk) 23:02, 18 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Apologies for jumping in this, but I just wanted to inform you that the nominator has retired from Wikipedia. The peer review probably should be archived because of this, but I do not want to do a major action like that. It may be worthwhile to post a question about this on the Wikipedia:Peer review talk page. Aoba47 (talk) 02:27, 19 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
