What is The Sandbox?

[edit]

There are so many different types of software that I don't know which one is the one mentioned here. I think it would be useful for people having trouble telling which is which for Wikipedia to have an article explaining exactly what this is.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 19:33, 22 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

By the way, I haven't tested that link. Through my local library, I can see the article on ProQuest.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 19:34, 22 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It appears from one of the few reliable sources found in a Google search that it is covered here but the article is not actually about the topic. Maybe it's too soon but at some point maybe a separate article can be written.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 23:01, 22 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The Sandbox is a metaverse game. I cannot access the article you reference but I guessed from the link. There is a WP:SELFPUB article detailing the game. Sungodtemple (talkcontribs) 23:03, 22 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It is often compared to Decentraland. Finally remembered it. Sungodtemple (talkcontribs) 23:07, 22 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure calling it a game is correct, but I corrected the link to the article. Still doesn't work, but only because you need a subscription. I'm going back to ProQuest and quote the article as much as I'm allowed to.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 17:54, 23 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
