How many aircraft are there in the world?

[edit]

How many aircraft are there in the world? The number would include civilian as well as military aircraft. Not counting drones or balloons but including planes, helicopters, and the like? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2604:2000:7011:5C00:91A0:39FC:5873:5B0E (talk) 00:22, 3 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

20000 as of 2013. --Jayron32 01:07, 3 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
That reference only lists the number of civilian airplanes in the world and omits helicopters and military aircraft. The number of military aircraft that the US has for example is almost 15,000 alone. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2604:2000:7011:5C00:91A0:39FC:5873:5B0E (talk) 01:22, 3 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Here are military aircraft, which you could add to the above number. Here is an attempt to answer the question in 2005. --Jayron32 01:33, 3 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
You would need to define "aircraft". Would you include ultralights ? Gliders ? Hang gliders ? StuRat (talk) 18:52, 3 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Do you mean "aircraft currently in use?" As seen in these pics there are 1000s in these graveyards. MarnetteD|Talk 19:01, 3 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Urumqi demographics

[edit]

The article for Urumqi cites the 2000 census for demographics. Is there more recently available data to update the article? Muzzleflash (talk) 20:59, 3 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The "Demographics" section does cite the 2000 census, but the lead and the infobox give population figures that are supposedly based on the 2010 census (though they aren't referenced). Deor (talk) 21:28, 3 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I'm hoping to find a demographic break down. Muzzleflash (talk) 07:50, 7 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
