Wikipedia:Requests for feedback/2011 August 10

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is my first Wikipedia article, and I am seeking feedback. I have images I want to use but am getting licensing for them from the artist, Victoria Fuller, who is the subject of the article. There are not many resources online about Fuller, so she has provided some added information that cannot be sourced. Does all that just have to go? I appreciate your attention and feedback.

The first mention of the subject in the article (in this case, Monique Sené) should be in bold. Although the reference link you have supplied is from a notable source, I don't think it's enough to establish notability. Articles from notable sources in which this person is the sole focus are considered reliable sources. Lachlanusername (talk) 07:59, 10 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is my first Wikipedia article/contribution. Any feedback is appreciated!

I'm not yet an expert on Wikipedia, but the article does not establish notability because all of the references are from the same website. It is also generally not common to feature external links anywhere in the article other than in the "External links" section. Lachlanusername (talk) 07:52, 10 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Firstly, the article is extremely long. Secondly, is all of the text written in your own words? And thirdly, only proper nouns are capitalised. Lachlanusername (talk) 07:55, 10 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Go or 'no go' yet? Anything to add / change ?

Second request for article's review after deciding to move user article to the main space. First request was Wikipedia:Requests_for_feedback/2011_August_3#User:Ncacosta.2FEIDIA and was not answered. Thank you very much.

Hi there, I've made this draft, but am unsure what it may need for publication and even what the next step is?? JLHaver (talk) 16:00, 10 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Requesting feedback to remove "new article" template. Only two other articles (NEEMO and the disambiguation page Gerty) link to this one, but I have not added the "orphan" template because it is presently recommended only for articles with no incoming links.

I am seeking feedback in relation to an entry about Jacki Zehner, a living person and active writer, blogger and philanthropist focused on the economic empowerment of women and girls. As a living person, it is difficult to source her achievements and involvment through reliable sources but am open to feedback on how to improve this entry. I appreciate your feedback.

This page gives an overview of the Atkinson Center for a Sustainable Future, a research organization at Cornell University. I am seeking feedback to make sure that it is written in a completely neutral tone, as it was once marked as an advertisement. If anyone has any suggestions, or can simply verify to me that it is a neutral article, that would be greatly appreciated.

I wish to have this article reviewed in order to remove the 'New page' tag. The source of all information is firsthand from the Charles Lisanby Collection, so there are no immediate books or articles to refer to (they will be created in the future as this is a newly acquired collection)

Wikipedia mentions our name GASL in the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NASA_X-43, but it does not provide informaiton about GASL. I created this article to inform wikipedia about GASL.... Please help me review it and provide me with instructions to move it from the draft space to the published website. Thanks

Looks like you went ahead and moved it to main space anyway. Please do not do this. It needs much work before being acceptable. This process can take time since we are volunteers. W Nowicki (talk) 17:42, 13 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please review my article about Canyon Sam. Thanks.
