Wikipedia:Requests for feedback/2011 October 16

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hi, I asked for feedback, and got some. Then I edited again to answer the issues raised by feedback. So now I am hoping that I hit the mark and can have the feedback comments deleteed!

Another issue I have is titling the page. I don;t understand where to find the pull down to redirect the article. THANK YOU!!!!

For fixing the "linkrot" problem, use the Template:Cite Web within the ref-tags (e.g. <ref>{{Cite web|url=http://www.example.com/index.html|title=Some descriptive title|accessdate=16 October 2011|date=2 March 2011|publsiher=Example.com|first=John|last=Walker}}</ref>) mabdul 18:30, 16 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Oh and what means the references with the text "radio"? mabdul 18:48, 16 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have improved the summary and added lots of references to my article. Please would you reassess, much appreciated. Thank you.

Hi,
can you explain me what the sense of the references #2,3,4,5,6,7,9,10 is? the reader can't verify these since it is only the exact same of that that stands in the text. I removed one maintain-box (unreferenced section) and fixed many whitespaces. mabdul 18:38, 16 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hi
Sorry, very, very new to this. I think I put these references in my first ever draft and have not revisited this bit of the article. I will try to remove all irrelevant references now you have pointedthem out. Is the rest an improvement? Thank you for your comments. Gmet49 20:15, 16 October 2011 (UTC)
The section "Life and Work" has large parts and many paragraphs which are unreferenced. Keep in min every fact/claim (especially for person who are living) have to be verifiable by the reader through references! You can also use "named references" for using the same reference multiple times, read Wikipedia:Named references how to do that. Please read also Template:Cite web how to prevent link rot. mabdul 13:32, 17 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Oh and many references are useless, since they only provide the ISBN of the books he wrote. mabdul 13:34, 17 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've just made a page for a psychoanalytical training organisation in England called CFAR. It's a well-known, notable organisation and it - I believe - it should have an article on Wikipedia. I've tried to make it as NPOV as I can. Many thanks.

Please add third party reference. I also removed all "advertising links" since the Karnac "reference" was not citing your claim and we don't promote amazon! mabdul 18:47, 16 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Mabdul, that's very helpful (I'm very new to this!) so thanks for your feedback. I'll add links to the works in question from other sources. Peter Owen (talk) 18:57, 16 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please read WP:REFB and add third party, reliable, independent references! mabdul 18:50, 16 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

added citations and cleaned up bare urls

Blastjacket (talk) 02:15, 17 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah I found a dead link and marked it. I also removed the linkrot-maintain box. But please provide some reliable source since every source is either not reliable or a primary source. mabdul 13:47, 17 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
