I, 73.24.144.212, request the undeletion of this Articles for creation submission deleted under CSD G13. Please restore the page as I intend to work on it. 73.24.144.212 (talk) 23:29, 11 November 2015 (UTC)

iKeyMonitor

Page was deleted due to no notable source. Some new notable sources are found recently -Awmarks (talk) 01:50, 12 November 2015 (UTC)

  • Not done - this Requests for Undeletion process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially, and does not apply to articles deleted after a deletion discussion. Since the article you are here about was deleted after a discussion took place at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/IKeyMonitor, it cannot be undeleted through this process. However, if you believe that the outcome of the discussion did not reflect the consensus of the participants, or that significant new information has come to light since the article was deleted, you may contact the administrator who closed the discussion, user Callanecc (talk · contribs). After you do so, if your concerns are not addressed and you still seek undeletion, a request may be made at deletion review. However I recommend that you start a draft at Draft:iKeyMonitor and pass it through WP:AFC. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 03:19, 12 November 2015 (UTC)

Draft:Jenny Darroch

I, Jennydarroch, request the undeletion of this Articles for creation submission deleted under CSD G13. Please restore the page as I intend to work on it. Jennydarroch (talk) 23:18, 12 November 2015 (UTC)

I apologize for not paying attention to your procedures earlier. It dawned on me I hadn't heard from Wikipedia at all, and then checked my gmail to see I hadn't finished registering. I've just done this and now see the page was deleted. I'd be grateful if you can reinstate the page and then I will take notice of the comments mad end edit. Thanks in advance, Jenny Jennydarroch (talk) 23:21, 12 November 2015 (UTC)

  • Not done Jennydarroch, this contained copyrighted material from your website. Even though it does appear likely that you're the person herself, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted materials without first getting permission from the copyright holder. You can accomplish this by filing a ticket at WP:ORTS. However I do have to caution you that the writeup was somewhat promotional in how it was written. It's not awful, but it does read a little like it was taken from a press release. Since you do appear to be experienced in marketing, you will likely need to be more careful when writing (especially since you're writing about yourself) because it's likely easy for you to write in a promotional manner without meaning for it to be promotional. I'd also heavily recommend that you utilize the WP:TEAHOUSE during the writing process. A side note about WP:COI: you can write about yourself (as long as it is in AfC) but it is discouraged because it's easy for it to become an autobiography or to become promotional without it really intending to be as such. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 04:56, 13 November 2015 (UTC)

Thank you TokkyoGirl79. I appreciate you letting me know about the website and I understand that I need to change the tone of the entry. The page has been deleted so shall I start over or do you undelete it so I can edit it. Thanks again -Jennydarroch (talk) 05:02, 13 November 2015 (UTC)

  • @Jennydarroch: You don't have to create a new section, you can just comment under this one. In any case, a good first step would be to file a ticket giving Wikipedia permission to use the material from your website. It would have to be re-written, but it would give the site more wiggle room in how we can phrase things since that way we could closely paraphrase without it being a copyright violation. Bu Yanjun

Individual has accumulated notability since AFDhere and here Please restore to "YaphetS" as title per WP:STAGENAME. -Prisencolin (talk) 05:51, 13 November 2015 (UTC)

  • Not done Prisencolin, since this was deleted via AfD, we cannot restore this here. You need to contact The Bushranger about this. I hate to sound a bit harsh, but I've cautioned you about this in the past. Prisencolin, there is a very specific way that you need to go about getting AfD articles restored. The one that I did restore through here was a bit of an exception to the rule since the admin wasn't active. While some admins might not be overly upset at someone restoring an AfD'd article without first consulting them, it isn't really a good habit to fall into because there's a reason why these protocols are in place. Sometimes restoration may seem harmless, but other times there can be extenuating circumstances that only the closing admin would be aware of or times when a consensus to recreate would be necessary. You really need to start contacting the deleting admins about AfD'd articles since these are out of the scope of REFUND. I don't want to discourage you from coming to us in general, but I just want to make sure that you're covering all of your bases as a CYA type of deal. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 07:12, 13 November 2015 (UTC)

Template Talk:Lifetime

In March 2010 there was a deletion discussion for Template:Lifetime whose result was "delete". The deletion log for Template:Lifetime shows that the template was deleted on 10 March 2014 and about a week later it was restored. However, the template's talk page was not restored.[1]

Here's a summary of the history:

  • 1 March 2014: Nominated for deletion with result delete.
  • 10 March 2014: The template was deleted.
  • 17 March 2014: Request that the template be undeleted. This was declined with the suggestion that WP:DRV be used. Apparently someone saw the mis-filed Deletion Review request and acted on that with a decision to undelete rather than re-filing the WP:DRV and responding there.[2]
  • 17 March 2014: The template was restored with the comment "unsupported delete contested by Altenmann".

DISC Distributing Corp

The page is being written as a history of an important company in the computer consumables business so we can record the history, leaders, management, reasons for success, reasons for failure and where successor companies. It is similar to other technology companies that have history pages for companies that no longer exist. I believe this was inproperly flaggged and deleted -Tkeaney12 (talk) 20:42, 14 November 2015 (UTC)

@Tkeaney12:  Not done. That was unacceptably promotional, with PR-speak adjectives like leading and innovative. Wikipedia is not a place for companies to puff themselves. Also, your user page is not the place to write an article.
If you are connected with the company, you have a Wikipedia:Conflict of interest, and should carefully read that guideline and the Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide. In brief, you should not write or edit directly about your company, and you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use ("Paid contributions without disclosure" under section 4), and in some jurisdictions by laws against covert advertising, to disclose your interest in any edits where you have a COI.
If you want to submit a draft for review by an uninvolved user, you should use WP:Articles for deletion. Read WP:Your first article and note the need for references showing significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources to establish WP:Notability. If it is to be accepted, an article must be written from a WP:Neutral point of view with no PR-speak, and should be based on what others say about the company rather than what it says about itself. For background as to why it was deleted, see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The West Wing presidential election, 1998 (2nd nomination) and the earlier Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The West Wing presidential election, 1998. From reading those, I see that there is actually a West Wing wiki where you may find more material for your research. JohnCD (talk) 22:27, 14 November 2015 (UTC)

Rafael Lataster

This page was deleted over eight years ago, but I don't want to contest that deletion process. It's just that Lataster has since stepped up his game, writing several more books and getting various coverages for them. This page describe a company i founded 15 years ago, it is not an advert, its a public company in the london stock exchange -Eyalfishler09 (talk) 07:05, 15 November 2015 (UTC)

  • Not done Eyalfishler09, this was a PROD and normally we restore these upon request, but a look at the article shows that there is some promotional language, per sentences like "Both technical and cost performance is superior to many competing services and technologies, with proven success in the current marketplace." It would need an almost complete re-write to fit WP:NPOV guidelines. Since you do have a conflict of interest I'm not entirely comfortable restoring this to the mainspace for you to edit, however I don't have a problem with you creating a submission via WP:AfC, the articles for creation process. You will need to show where the company has received coverage in independent and reliable sources per WP:RS, as the article lacked this coverage. Things that would be considered a reliable, notability giving source would be things like coverage in newspapers, some books, and websites that would pass muster at WP:RS/N. JamesJoneswiki (talk) 22:22, 15 November 2015 (UTC) James Jones (artist) need more time having difficulty with editing with Wiki

  • Not done The article was pretty much comprised entirely of quotes. While you did try to source these, this is still considered to be a form of copyright violation in and of itself, since you'd need to have some things written in your own words. The quotes also have the side effect of making the article pretty promotional as well. Given that it was almost entirely quotes and a list of artworks, I'd prefer that you write a new submission in your own words. I will, however, also ask that you read over the WP:COI guidelines since there appears to be a definite conflict of interest. Wikipedia discourages people from writing their own autobiography. It's not forbidden, but it is discouraged because it's easy to make things more promotional than you may have intended it to be. I'd also recommend that you look into seeking assistance from the WP:TEAHOUSE. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 04:50, 16 November 2015 (UTC)

File:Athiradi-tamil-movie.jpg

Athiradi is a Tamil language movie released on 16 October, 2015. As a fan of actors involved in that film, I have taken my time to create this page and upload an image appropriately. No one will claim this image as a copyright violent from the original copyrighter's side. Because, I have done something to raise their fame nor does degrade them. There are too many work less fellows want, even, this title to be removed as they may not pleased with crew involved in the film. But, that should not reason to someone to point this as a copyright violent. In case there is a dispute begins in future, I can get written consent from original copyrighter to be used at Wikipedia. My request is leave the image as it is. In near future, I will replace it with more trustful resources when I add other details to the title. -Deenhaja (talk) 16:47, 14 November 2015 (UTC)

  • The file is not yet deleted. Instead we need you to say which URL you got this image from, and put in a fair use rationale. Saying it is "Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0" when it is not is a copyright fraud. If you have evidence it is this license then please link it for us. But it is likely to be usable under fair use. Lastly the image seems to be squashed sideways, is that how it is supposed to look? Is it genuine? Graeme Bartlett (talk) 20:17, 14 November 2015 (UTC)
  • @Deenhaja: Now you have specified a source for the image. However that does not prove it is genuine, or that the license is cc-by-sa-4.0 as you seem to claim. Can you point to a likely URL that says that license applies? And also give some URL that will indicate that the cover is genuine and not made up? One complication which will need to be considered if this draft is accepted is that the title Daniel Clitnovici is salted - protected so that it requires permission from an administrator to re-create - because in 2009 articles about him were twice deleted due to an WP:OTRS request (ticket 2009010910019026), probably from Clitovnici himself. I, Alex Syrov, request the undeletion of this Articles for creation submission deleted under CSD G13. Please restore the page as I intend to work on it. Alex Syrov (talk) 12:43, 17 November 2015 (UTC)

  • Done - as an Articles for creation submission deleted under CSD G13, the page has been restored on request. Please note that you never submitted the entry for review. When you are ready, you need to click the green notice in the template at the top of the page that says "Submit your draft when you are ready for it to be reviewed!" you are also going to have to make this less promotional sounding. Compa

After speaking to an advisor via the Wikipedia Web Chat feature just now in regards to why the Compa artist page had been deleted and being told that it was a question of notability and reinstatement would be absolutely possible if notability was brought to light, and discussing that as stated on Wikipedia's own 'Wikipedia:Notability (music)' notability is generally judged through the amount of press an artist has received I definitely think that the 'Compa' artist page should be undeleted as Compa has had many notable features, interviews and reviews in such respected publications as Mixmag, DJ Mag, Trap Magazine, GQ Magazine, Wire Magazine, Resident Advisor and FACT Magazine in both physical print and online formats over the last four to five years as well as selling over 25,000 physical vinyl records, not taking into account streaming or downloads, up to now.

Compa is an established artist with a collective online fanbase of approx. 50,000+ people across his social networks and he is verified on Facebook. He has also toured worldwide playing shows across Asia, Europe and North and South America in the last two years. I would be very grateful if thi page would be undeleted. Thanks in advance. -Dottedclover (talk) 22:43, 17 November 2015 (UTC)

Done I have converted this to a draft at Draft:Compa so you can prove notability. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 00:06, 18 November 2015 (UTC)

Topgrading

I previously asked to have this page undeleted and was told to create the article in my sandbox. It is there now and I would request that it be moved to the deleted article which is currently blocked so only administrators can create. -CommonHMC (talk) 09:45, 10 November 2015 (UTC)

I want to note that it was deleted 5 years ago by a single editor who I believed also is the one who blocked the article so only administrators can create it. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by CommonHMC (talkcontribs) 09:49, 10 November 2015 (UTC)
@CommonHMC: please click the blue "Submit" button to send your draft for review by an experienced user who will either accept it or give you feedback. I have unprotected the title so that, if accepted, it can be moved to the main space. JohnCD (talk) 18:53, 10 November 2015 (UTC)
@CommonHMC: Yes, I am the one who deleted it multiple times for being blatantly promotional, and then protected the page so people would stop coming here to promote the book. As you move forward, I encourage you to read WP:COI and WP:SPA carefully. --Spike Wilbury (talk) 19:59, 10 November 2015 (UTC)
Thank you. I read both and neither apply. Except for the fact I came here to create an article. Which I thought anyone was allowed to do. Not sure ha the deal was 5 years ago but I have no idea who wrote the article or even what was in the article. However, I see that someone is trying to delete it from my sandbox for being spam. I haven't even submitted it yet. Is this normal? — Preceding unsigned comment added by CommonHMC (talkcontribs) 05:35, 11 November 2015 (UTC)
The one five years ago was a fairly blatant puff piece for the Bradford Smart book. Unambiguous spam may be deleted even from draft or sandbox pages, but it takes two pairs of eyes: a tagger tags, but an administrator has to agree; and I have declined this speedy deletion nomination. Go ahead and submit it. If we seem suspicious, that is because the world and his wife think Wikipedia is a free platform for promotion, and we have to work constantly to keep it neutral. JohnCD (talk) 10:13, 11 November 2015 (UTC)

Thanks. I understand but I am not someone from 5 years ago and would ask that it gets a fair review. From some of the comments/actions, I fear that it will be declined/deleted just because. Thanks for your help and I guess we'll see. — Preceding unsigned comment added by CommonHMC (talkcontribs) 01:16, 12 November 2015 (UTC)

Grandma Anna Bae Jenkins Movie

I have reliable sources to go with Grandma Anna Bae Jenkins article -Johnnydept3 (talk) 02:09, 18 November 2015 (UTC)

  • Not done Johnnydept3, this was deleted in two formats. It was first deleted at AfD at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Grandma Anna Bae Jenkins and later as an WP:A7 (non-notable web video) - although since it was deleted at AfD about a month ago it could be deleted as a recreation of an article deleted at AfD. In either case you'd need to contact the admin who deleted the page (Michig for AfD, DragonflySixtyseven for the A7) and ask for them to restore the page. However in order to get it restored you'll need to show where the film has received coverage in independent and reliable sources per WP:RS. Just existing as a film isn't enough, so you won't be able to use things that simply show that the film exists. In other words, linking to the film on various websites that offer the film for sale or to WP:PRIMARY sources will not show notability. (Also, you shouldn't be linking to merchant sources on Wikipedia at all.) What you need are things like newspaper articles about the movie, reviews in reliable sources like Twitch Film, and the like. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 05:13, 18 November 2015 (UTC)
  • I also have to admit that I'm not seeing anything come up in a Google search for the film. There are primary sources (things released by someone involved with the film to some degree) and some self-published sources (blogs, etc), but nothing that would show notability enough to overcome the AfD. Since this was deleted at AfD I think it'd be best for you to ask Michig to restore the page, but if he won't (which is possible, given the lack of sourcing out there) you can take this to deletion review. However you will need to provide quite a bit of sourcing either way in order to overturn the AfD. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 05:19, 18 November 2015 (UTC)
  • I've salted this specific title since any potential re-creation should be made at Grandma Anna Bae Jenkins rather than any alternate title. It's generally a good idea to keep it all in one place, as creating it at alternate titles can sometimes give off the impression that you're trying to evade detection from the last person who deleted the page. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 07:02, 18 November 2015 (UTC)
  • I hope that this doesn't come across harshly, just that there's a certain way to go about this. Now what I could recommend is that rather than editing Wikipedia, that you look into creating your own wiki at places like Wikia or MediaWiki. These should both be free and you won't have the restrictions that you have here on Wikipedia. This means that you could create articles for the film, book, characters, and anyone involved in the film's production on these sites. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。)

I am not familiar with the reason for deletion but I request the un-deletion of this page. I went to make edits to the page today and found it gone. I know that, years ago, there issues with notability but later edits addressed those issues I believe. Please undelete the page any provide any feedback on changes that should be addressed. -SpecialFXavier (talk) 09:04, 18 November 2015 (UTC)

@SpecialFXavier: Done - as a contested proposed deletion, the article has been restored on request. I will notify user Citobun (talk), who proposed it, and who may choose to nominate it at WP:Articles for deletion. That would start a debate lasting seven days, to which you would be welcome to contribute. You can see the concerns expressed by the PRODder in this revision. I, RB-ASHISH, request the undeletion of this Articles for creation submission deleted under CSD G13. Please restore the page as I intend to work on it. RB-AXP talk 08:25, 18 November 2015 (UTC)

@RB-AXP: the draft page has not been deleted, and you are welcome to edit it and click the green "Submit" button when you are ready to send it for review. I would suggest some pruning - the extended list of extracurricular activities would be more appropriate on the group's website than in an encyclopedia article, which is not meant to be a prospectus. Not done - this article has not been restored because it does not appear to meet our guidelines for inclusion of articles about people. In general, Wikipedia considers a topic to be notable if there exist multiple reliable sources of information on the topic, external to the subject itself. Articles concerning people will be deleted on sight if they are considered to be unambiguous advertising or promotion, or if they do not contain a credible assertion of the significance of the subject.  Not done. There is nothing worth restoring, the deleted article was a single sentence: "Camp Shane is a summer sleep-away camp in Ferndale, NY specializing in adolescent weight loss." You are welcome to write an article, but if it is not to be speedily deleted it must at least explain why the camp is important or significant enough to have an article in an encyclopedia, and if it is to be kept it will need to show references to significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources to establish Wikipedia:Notability. Read WP:Your first article for advice; I suggest you use WP:Articles for creation to guide you through the process. JohnCD (talk) 20:44, 19 November 2015 (UTC)
