Why you declined the article Yvoneokoye20 (talk) 05:50, 27 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft has been declined twice and rejected four times, time to drop the stick. Theroadislong (talk) 14:31, 27 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Yvoneokoye20: this was declined 2 times for lacking reliable sources that establish the notability of this person. It was since rejected 4 (!) times for failing to adress the last decline/reject reason. This brings up two related questions:
  1. Why do you need to get this published? The last two rejections where on the same day, and we dont operate on dealines.
  2. Is there an undisclosed financialor other connection between the subject and you? If so, you will need to comply with WP:COI and WP:PAID. The latter is a Terms of Use requirement and not negotiable.
Please note that a reviewer (@Theroadislong:) has determined yust today that this does not establish notability. If I or some other reviewer sees this draft again, it will very likely be sent to WP:MFD. Victor Schmidt mobil (talk) 16:13, 27 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

AlexanderAlex1995, I looked at your draft. It is a paragraph of unreferenced words. Please think about how you might turn this into a real draft Fiddle Faddle 12:24, 27 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Inception 111 (talk) 13:32, 27 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I have already mentioned that I am not getting paid by anyone to edit the page ( just like any other editor on the Wikipedia), I thought that's the purpose of editing or creating articles on the Wikipedia. Please remove the messages from the page. I spent too much time trying to help artists anywhere and yet find it difficult to publish an article or help artists. Also, this artist is a known artist in the film industry and I believe there are enough sources to claim him as a noble person. Thank you.Inception 111 (talk) 13:32, 27 July 2020 (UTC)inception 111[1][reply]

Inception 111 What is your motivation for helping artists? Helping any group of people is not usually a motivation to write an article unless there is some promotional aspect behind it(even if you are not paid). Promotional editing is not permitted, whether you are paid or not. In this case, it does not appear that Mr. Tavoosi meets the special Wikipedia definition of a notable filmmaker. 331dot (talk) 14:02, 27 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Inception 111 please look carefully at what you wish to accomplish.
Wikipedia is a rewarding hobby, and will absorb all the time you choose to give to it in productive editing. There are a huge number of tasks beyond creating new articles. Improving articles is huge fun. As your experience grows you may wish to get involved with technical aspects
When you create an article, let go of it. It is no longer yours, it is ours. All of us may improve it, tear it apart, suggest improvements, nominate it to ba a good article, offer it for deletion.
Please do not edit here to help anyone. Edit here to help yourself instead. Be curious, follow threads, find places that need articles, articles in real you had no prior interest in. But do not, I beg you, get involved with the murky world of conflict of interest Fiddle Faddle 21:09, 27 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

16:02:37, 27 July 2020 review of submission by B.n1995[edit]

I have created the draft Lukas Meyer. I have edited it according to recommendations from editors. I would be curious why it has not been accepted yet?

Best and thanks!

B.n1995 (talk) 16:02, 27 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@B.n1995: the draft has been submitted for review since 16 days now. The backlog is somewhere at up to two months(I am actually surprised. I was used to have backlogs of ~4-6 months). Please be patient. Victor Schmidt mobil (talk) 18:50, 27 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
B.n1995, I dropped by your draft just now to see if it was a simple acceptance and found it not to be. I have left you a comment in the draft suggesting that there is work to be done to it while awaiting formal review. I have also suggested some reading material in that comment. 18:06:48, 27 July 2020 review of submission by Verybusybee[edit]

Hi there! I submitted a page for review called Outlier.org and it was rejected by AngusWOOF. By the way, thanks so much AngusWOOF for your speedy review! Wikipedia said that "The proposed article does not have sufficient content to require an article of its own, but it could be merged into the existing article at Aaron Rasmussen." Similarly, AngusWOOF left the following comment, "This should be described in Aaron Rasmussen’s article first as a section, and then if it’s too big for that, then it can be proposed as a split, but I don’t see how it’s independently notable at this point."

This was my first time attempting to create a page, so I wanted to double-check that formatting, proper citations, etc was not the reason why this page was not approved? Would love to know this for future purposes.

More importantly, I wanted to see what needs to be done for the Outlier.org page I submitted to become "independently notable" and, therefore, approved? There is other information I may provide about the company to "bulk" up the page: Information regarding course structure, the company's mission/why it was founded, and product features. Would adding such information possibly help give the article "sufficient" content for approval? Or, is the reviewer's comment that the company is not "independently notable at this point" simply saying that the company (Outlier.org) has not reached a point in its life to be approved to have its own page? AKA, It's not what I wrote about the company BUT rather the company must receive more public recognition, develop more courses, and be around for longer in order to be approved?

Thanks so much in advance for answering these questions!

Verybusybee (talk) 18:06, 27 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Verybusybee, This is a very quick scan of your draft without getting the drains up
The section "Notable Press" is an imperfect way to handle references. It bulks up a reference list without adding value. Wherever the final destination of the material, use each reference to state a fact and verify it, provided there is significant coverage about the topic of the article, and independent of it, and in WP:RS
I find I am not keen on a list of instructors. "Notable" used in this context appears to add more clout than the instructor requires anyway, and seeing the word is a red flag for me.
If Fast Company's award is important then reference can be used to illustrate the fact for which it is important. Generally I find that articles listing awards contain puffery
Only AngusWOOF can say with precision what they meant, and should be asked directly for any clarification you would like. You should note that to decline a draft means to push it back for more work. It is distinct from rejecting it. Fiddle Faddle 06:47, 28 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

18:55:42, 27 July 2020 review of draft by Azaan Habib[edit]

I would like to note that the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, and the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro, were two separate entities, with different constitutions, political leadership, diplomatic relationship with foreign countries, and form of governance, with the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia acting as a federation, and State Union of Serbia and Montenegro acting as a confederacy, with the possibility of Montenegrin independence guaranteed in its constitution. It therefore seems that not allowing for a separate article on each state, undermines any potential reader's knowledge of Balkan history. I must stress that the two states were not the same states. The existence of an article on the Kingdom of Yugoslavia does not prevent an article on the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia from existing, and the same can be applied here.

Azaan Habib (talk) 18:55, 27 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not done The article on Federal_Republic_of_Yugoslavia already exists. They were pretty much the same state but with different names. Eternal Shadow Talk 22:31, 27 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I've removed your draft text, as it is linked to above. 331dot (talk) 19:04, 27 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Uyimwen1981 Your draft has been rejected, meaning it will not be considered further. It appears that you do not meet the special Wikipedia definition of a notable musician, as shown with significant coverage in independent reliable sources. Please also note that autobiographical articles, while not forbidden, are strongly discouraged on Wikipedia. Please see the autobiography policy. If you just want to tell the world about yourself, you should use social media. 331dot (talk) 19:06, 27 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

20:14:03, 27 July 2020 review of submission by Scope creep[edit]

The editor user:Hallieedit has cleaned up the article. I've removed a whole bundle of stuff. It is now fairly well referenced, but found out it is create-protected, when I tried to promote it to mainspace. It was some mess and I can understand why. I think it would survive an Afd

Mr. Herath is the Secretary to the 20th Speaker of the Parliament of Sri Lanka and the Co-Organizer of Attanagalla Electorate for the United National Party - but his article has been continuously declined stating "no notability" - I want to know what more I could to do to help improve this article so that it can be accepted?
