Welcome to Shreveport task force of WikiProject Louisiana. This is a group dedicated to improving Wikipedia's coverage of Shreveport, Louisiana and the greater Ark-La-Tex / Shreveport-Bossier City Metro Area. The project was established on December 10, 2006. Editors who are interested in contributing, please sign up below and post any ideas and suggestions on the talk page. Also, feel free to edit this page and add any articles that need work or that you feel require attention below in the tasks section.
About the project

Mission
Establish Wikipedia as one of the premier online information resources on the Shreveport/Ark-La-Tex metropolitan areas.
Goals
- To provide guidelines and recommendations for articles that describe all aspects of the city of Shreveport and the surrounding metropolitan area.
- To improve Wikipedia's coverage of Shreveport by creating, expanding, and maintaining such articles and related portal.
- To serve as the central point of discussion for issues related to Shreveport in Wikipedia.
Scope
- Geographically-related articles in the Shreveport/Ark-La-Tex metropolitan area.
- Articles about persons who have had a significant presence or relationship to the area.
Parentage
The parent of this WikiProject is WikiProject Cities. At the state level, there also is WikiProject Louisiana. Additional nearby cities with projects include Dallas, Houston and New Orleans.
