Tasks

[edit]

Assessment Department

[edit]

This department focuses on assessing the quality of Wikipedia's Vancouver and GVRD articles. While much of the work is done in conjunction with the WP:1.0 program, the article ratings are also used within the project itself to aid in recognizing excellent contributions and identifying topics in need of further work.

History

[edit]
  1. History of Vancouver -- needs post 1900 history, citing reliable sources.

Good history section, but lacks enough info about the island today. Some stuff in the lead section needs to moved to their own sections and fleshed out. The history needs more references and footnotes. A couple of more pictures (artisans, cement factory, Emily Carr Institute) would help. Usgnus

Queen Elizabeth Park Jul 02 06 Good Stub 3 Pics Has 3 paragraphs. Needs development and more sections. Also requires an infobox and a map. Has 3 Pics but could use some diversity

Little Mountain entry is somewhat parallel but is a geographic feature and old neighbourhood name as opposed to a park||User:Sir Studieselot

Sea Island, British Columbia Jul 02 06 Start class Map Good for now. Lacks a picture and an infobox. User:Sir Studieselot
Tri-Cities (British Columbia) Jun 21 06 not yet assessed No User:Skookum1
Victory Square Jun 21 06 Start class Pic Just expanded with more history, links to VPL/BC Arch photos of old courthouse; more text to come on 1990s "renewal" and "Victory Square" as a neighbourhood User:Skookum1
Westham Island, British Columbia Jun 21 06 not yet assessed No User:Skookum1
Westwood Plateau Jun 21 06 Stub Pic Very basic start to article. Needs to be expanded or merged, as right now it doesn't say very much. Some history of the area would help, especially about the old raceway that was pushed out by the development. Ckatz
