Asabane
I think the redirect to Asaba is correct. After exhausting Google (only 5 pages of results) with no luck as to where Asabane could be, I had several hints it may be the same place as "Asaba" - those on irc://irc.freenode.net/ja.wikipedia confirmed there is a possibility the places could be same (in terms of the Japanese language). This company gives their address as "Sakado City, Asabane, Tanaka Haites Saitama Saitame_ken Japan" - does this make Asabane a larger or smaller entity than Sakado City? Also, this company (Google translated page) cites their address as "The Saitama prefecture Sakado city Asaba 1612" - Asaba being the closest word to "Asabane", this was a result of a search for "Asabane". Another Google translated page gives the following: "Asabane Clinic | 350-0238 | Sakado city Asaba | 991 - 1 0492-84-1114 " --Oldak Quill 13:44, 30 Jan 2005 (UTC)
- yes the redirect is correct, it comes from different readings of the kanji 浅羽. There is more than one Asaba in Japan. — Zeimusu | Talk 01:06, 3 Mar 2005 (UTC)
National Industry Recovery Act
Close but not quite. It's the National Industrial Recovery Act, which already has a page. Much more could be said about that Act, which the CPUSA saw as a harbinger of fascism and the right saw as galloping socialism, and which had the probably unforeseen effect of spurring millions of workers (no exaggeration) into more or less organizing themselves into unions. I deleted this request because we certainly don't want to create a misnamed page.
Operative Posse Groups
Belongs in Posse Comitatus (U.S. movement), suggest deleting request. Most are underground. They don't advertise their location.--Cberlet 23:36, 1 Mar 2005 (UTC)
:(
Too bad, I've never heard of any of the topics. :( Nichalp 18:28, Mar 2, 2005 (UTC)
- Then look them up on Google and in books: learn and then write. --Oldak Quill 20:22, 2 Mar 2005 (UTC)
Arpad Balasz
- I think it's extremely likely that this should be Arpad Balazs, based on a bit of googling. --Johnwcowan 18:51, 2 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- Or more precisely, Árpád Balázs. There are two marginally notable persons by that name: The mayor of the small Hungarian town Siófok and the Hungarian director of the auditing company PricewaterhouseCoopers. - Marcika 00:44, 3 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- Since it was requested in Requests/music, I made an article about the hungarian composer Árpád Balázs instead. He seems to be more notable than the other two. --grmwnr 22:21, 3 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Alan Barile
is a mispelling of Allan Barile, more commonly known as Al Barile, lead singer of the Boston Hardcore band SSD. Changed the one incorrect spelling in an article (a music in massachusetts article, I forget the real title, thought that might have been it)...do I have to do anything else, like delete him from this page?
- Perhaps do a redirect from the incorrect spelling, to the correct one. Bluap
System of Foreign Politics in the US
- This article should be taken off the list because it is a bad title. What did the person who requested this mean by the system of foreign politics in the U.S.? The U.S. Foreign Policy? If so there is an article on that...--EatAlbertaBeef 04:55, 8 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Quite possibly they originally meant that. ~ Dpr 05:20, 11 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- I removed it from the page (is there anywhere else it should be removed from?). It is clearly a bad title. If someone really is desperate for that article I'm sure they will request it again. Bobbis 21:59, 13 Jun 2005 (UTC)
African Authors
(Rhetorical): why are there so few articles African authors created yet but so many on American authors/artists/bands, etc? ~ Dpr 05:20, 11 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Presumably because there are so few African contributors to Wikipedia; people write about what they know. Proto 14:52, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Old Testament prophecies
I can't imagine what this would be with a NPOV. I could certainly list many, but would it be encylopedic? Is the requestor looking for OT prophecies (predictions) that have come to pass? I think this would be highly subjective.
Now that I've written the above, I'm thinking that maybe it could be done. It could be a list of OT citations with statments like, "many commentators think that...." Worth it? Any other suggestions? --KSnortum 06:06, 15 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Many of the pages that end up here are ones that are poorly named or unlikely to ever be a good topic for an article. Do not be too worried about removing bad ones. An article on the prophesies could be a useful addition, but "Old Testament prophecies" would be a poor choice of name for such a page. Generally we use Hebrew Bible as OT is a term only used by Christians. - SimonP 13:56, Jun 15, 2005 (UTC)
- There's a section in prophecy about this, so I turned Old Testament prophecies into a redirect. Proto t c 29 June 2005 08:52 (UTC)
Coreligionist
Does this request belong in WP? Can you really go beyond a dictdef with that? It is a word, but can you write an article about it?
Wiktionary's entry seems to cover it. I will delete it. --Joel7687 29 June 2005 01:57 (UTC)
Now what do I do?
So I've made a decent stub for a requested article. Now what do I do? Delete it from the page? Cigarette 23:25, 24 July 2005 (UTC)

Systematic Beginning
With the theory that some information is better than no information, I've begun going through this page and putting together pages on the topics that can't be easily misrepresented. In other words, I'm currently avoiding taking on any tasks that having some background knowledge of the subject is necessary. So far I've been focusing on people - biographies are generally less biased or involved than many other topics. I've only done 3 articles so far, but I'm wondering if there is anyone else going through this page that I might be able to collaborate with. Either respond here or leave a note on my user discussion page. Thanks! Bornyesterday 19:30, August 9, 2005 (UTC)
- Great work so far. There are several users who frequent this page, though I don't think any of them are going through it systematically. Looking through the history can give you a good indication of who the regulars are. - SimonP 23:06, August 10, 2005 (UTC)
- What about cetegories like sociology- human sciences, ecology and economy vs. the more technical sciences?
--Gerfriedc 19:33, 17 August 2005 (UTC)
- There just aren't enough requests to fill out categories. On occasion we have had some social science cats when there were enough requests, but they also seem to get dealt with quicker than the more technical ones. - SimonP 19:42, August 17, 2005 (UTC)
- I've been working on them when I can. Mainly in the 'other' and 'people' sections. I don't bother removing them from the page when I've done them though, as RABot does that daily for us. Although I've been avoiding any of the math articles (as I find them boring and they hurt my head), or any on musicians or authors. Proto t c 11:21, 19 August 2005 (UTC)

Phrasing
The first line of the article says these are articles that have been requested since August 9, 2004, but that would make them less than a year old, not more. Shouldn't it be revised to say, articles that were requested before that date - but since August 9, 2003, and then have a link to the page of those requests more than two years old? Maybe I am just confused. Bruxism 00:36, 19 August 2005 (UTC)
- It should really say 'prior to' ... I'll change it. Proto t c 11:21, 19 August 2005 (UTC)
