I have noticed that there is a new breed of year-related articles going around, such as 1981 in India. I just thought I'd spread the word to see if anyone wants to lend a hand. AdamBiswanger1 14:54, 14 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

T 10 Gully Cricket season 2[edit]

CONCEPT

T-10 Gully Cricket – AB HAR KOI KHELEGA is a huge connect with the masses and takes us back to where it all starts-The inconspicuous omnipresent underbelly of Indian Cricket-The Glorious Gullies of India.

While season 1 was a nation wide tournament held in eight cities and season 2 grew to become a 17 city tournament played under lights at Sirsa , Haryana . The selections followed by a day long intracity event featuring four teams from each city were held in the respective cities. Based on the performances during the day's play the best 14 Players were selected to represent the city in the Group matches .These sixteen team were then divided into four Groups of 4 each and played each other once in their respective Groups .Subsequent to this , seven of these cities joined surat in the super 8 , as surat was seeded directly into the super 8 by virtue of being the defending champion . The top four teams made it to the semi finals and ultimately the finals was played between Jalandhar & Ludhiana . Ludhiana emerged the deserving champions of season 2 . The matches were telecast live on DD-Sports .

All the players are amateurs who get an opportunity to live their fantasies on a big stage they have been deprived of hitherto. The objective is to provide a platform to amateurs to perform on large grounds and be seen live on television. This is an annual feature with two seasons behind it and the third season slated to be held in Oct/Nov 2010 .

VISION STATEMENT

The event is visualized as a platform for the masses to connect directly and get involved with cricket at a level that has never been attempted before. We aim at showcasing and providing opportunities to deserving and undiscovered cricketing talents to play in front of large audiences and also live on Television.

As this event progresses, it can only become bigger and bigger. The inherent format of the game does not require the participation of Professional players and hence the cities in which the event is held can grow from 8 to 16 and to 128 in no time. This being an annual event, the number of 128 can be achieved in its fifth season i.e. fifth year of inception.

Imagine a scenario where Swenden Gullies Plays against Ludhiana Gullies in the semi-finals of Gully cricket Season 3. Given the seamlessly scaleable format, this can become truly an international property.

WP:INDIA's assistance needed on article List of wolf attacks[edit]

Google indicates that this should be an item on the article List of wolf attacks:

http://navbharattimes.indiatimes.com/india/the-death-of-11-month-old-baby-wolf-attack/articleshow/55599268.cms

We need someone who can read this language to either add it to List of wolf attacks or help us to do so by summarizing it on the talk page.

Please help! Chrisrus (talk) 17:26, 25 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Oh and also, we need someone with knowledge of Indian languages and the willingness to do so to help us improve the article List of wolf attacks in a more general way. They seem to be more common in India than anywhere else, but language barriers prevent Wikipedia from knowing enough about them.

Done. Lakun.patra (talk) 10:52, 26 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
