Welcome![edit]

If you're interested in taking part in the Whanganui Wiki Wednesday project, add your user name to the list and feel free to add suggestions/ideas to the page. There are obviously plenty of topics to get started with. If you live in Whanganui, come along to one of the monthly meetups to talk about what could be done, learn how to make edits, plan how to recruit new editors, and so on. There's always coffee and hot chocolate. Giantflightlessbirds (talk) 05:36, 22 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I have circulated the Project Page for 15 Nov to my facebook people and added this: It is good to look through the pages beforehand. There are lots of Whanganui items in existing pages and some existing pages where Whanganui hasn't been mentioned and these all should be linked, eg The Quaker page and the River Queen movie page don't have a Whanganui link! Thanks for spreading the word! There's now mention of the Whanganui River to the River Queen page, which could do with some work. But there's still plenty of linking to sort out. It would be nice to actually expand the NZ paragraph on the Quaker page just a little bit, to put the Whanganui connection in context – better than just adding a link. Potentially a good job for the edit-a-thon. Giantflightlessbirds (talk) 07:57, 26 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
