Keen to bring Lee Kuan Yew up to GA status (or even higher)?

He has passed away and the week of national mourning is over, but his legacy lives on in our Little Red Dot. As Wikipedians, the best tribute we could pay to him would be to make Lee Kuan Yew a GA or even the main page FA on our 50th National Day. Although the article is already in good condition, the research and polishing needed are far too much for me to tackle alone. Who else would like to help out with this SG50 project? --Hildanknight (talk) 13:24, 29 March 2015 (UTC)

Comment: The article has always been in an ongoing process of improvements. The greatest challenge here actually to keep the page neutral, and not let the writing be overly influenced by pro or anti LKY/PAP edits. It'd be great if we can achieve it by SG 50, cos beyond that, and nearer the next election, it will be when all the edit/opinion warring starts, as seen during every GE :P Zhanzhao (talk) 13:37, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
@Zhanzhao: We need a few neutral collaborators to keep improving the article and keep out the POV pushers. So are you in? --Hildanknight (talk) 13:41, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
I'm on wikibreak from article editing at the time being, but will chip in where I can on the talkpages. Maybe will get more involved, but not at the moment. But his page is on my watchlist, so at least I can help keep a lookout for extreme writing from either side. Zhanzhao (talk) 13:50, 29 March 2015 (UTC)

I agree that this article deserves to be GA status. However I have a few suggestions: 1) The article is at present excessively gushing. Since Wikipedia endorses NPOV, this article will have greater credibility if it sounds more balanced. 2) Few editors seem to have read his memoirs or books; 3) Some of the references are lacking in page number citation. DORC (talk) 14:45, 29 March 2015 (UTC)

My dad actually has all his books. If you need exact page nunbers, ping me about the line and book, and I will try to get the exact page. Zhanzhao (talk) 15:00, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
Almost all the references in the article lack page numbers. I haven't read his books yet - so I can't identify the lines. I suppose someone have to go through the article and double check on the references. The books are in the library but there is a huge surge of people reserving his books in the National Library. DORC (talk) 15:08, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
All of them? Wow.... let me see what I can do, as I said, I have ready access to the books, the problem is time to get through all of them (real life priorities). My dad's been asking me to read his book for years, he's finally getting his wish. Zhanzhao (talk) 22:24, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
Just popping in to say not to feel discouraged about whats happening on the LKY page at the moment. Growing pains of slowly moving the article up the ranks means it will be QC'ed by more editors, which is also good in a way as it keeps POV pushers out. JiaYou! Zhanzhao (talk) 08:12, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
The spike in articles on his history (on all sides) due to recent events may be of help to fill some gaps. Ideally aim for every sentence to be cited. Checking off the easy factual ones will be helpful before moving on to the more contentious ones. - Mailer Diablo 17:04, 7 April 2015 (UTC)

Sources on Singapore manga release of Detective Conan?

There's a video on YouTube from "Voiceovers Unlimited" (Account name) which includes the ending credits of Detective Conan: In the video it says the company is Voiceovers Unlimited Pte Ltd

Is there a reliable source publication which says that this company developed a Detective Conan dub? WhisperToMe (talk) 16:37, 4 June 2015 (UTC)

What do you reckon about Draft:Net neutrality in Singapore? Thanks, FoCuSandLeArN (talk) 16:44, 5 May 2015 (UTC)

What's your question? --huggi - never stop exploring (talk) 08:17, 5 September 2015 (UTC)

2015, please read my update...

Hi Guys, if you're interested in the next Meetup (2015), please start reading here: Wikipedia:SGpedians' notice board/Meetup/Planning. Thanks! --huggi - never stop exploring (talk) 08:21, 5 September 2015 (UTC)

Hi Huggi, just as a suggestion. Can you create a new sub-heading (or whatever it is called) in the notice board page link u've put there for us to start a new discussion regarding the 2015 meetup in Singapore? It is a bit confusing to browse at the first time because there is just so many discussions written there, and I think almost 99% of them are outdated already. Thanks. Wikipedia Asian Month

FYI, meta:Wikipedia Asian Month will be held on November 2015. This event is a result from Asian Wikimedian meetup during Wikimania 2015 and I hope English Wikipedian from Singapore can participate in this event (i.e. be one of the local organizer for this community, or be the participants). Thank you.  Kenrick  Talk 09:12, 12 October 2015 (UTC)

future mrt stations articles

there is absolutely no information on Sungei Kadut, Keppel, Punggol North and Hume MRT stations. why are they on the List of Singapore MRT stations? And they all have the same opening year of 2030? i don't remember LTA giving any information on these stations at all. And on another note, Simpang had never been used as a working name. When NS12 is announced on LTA website, Canberra is already being used. No mention of Simpang at all. Even though Northeast Line extension is announced, Punggol North has never been used as the station name. same for Mountain View. Where do all these names come from??? Even though the LTA website list it as Punggol North, it is not the station name. it is just to indicate it will serve the punggol north area. If you look at the Jurong Region Line page, they also list the areas. are they station names? They are not. Thus Punggol North is not the station name (yet). even the LTA map of the MRT system does not show punggol north, despite showing others like canberra, thomson east coast line etc. Propose to remove all these misleading information and deletion of the articles Keppel, Punggol North and Hume MRT Station. -115.66.225.183 (talk) 07:18, 28 September 2015 (UTC)

Yes, I would say delete all station names that are not properly referenced to reliable third-party sources. — SMUconlaw (talk) 08:22, 28 September 2015 (UTC)
Someone please do something about this guy. Sam Kee LRT opening in January 2016? Woodlands North working name is Waterfront? Vista Park is working name for Woodlands South? And all those unannounced stations. -115.66.225.183 (talk) 15:28, 28 September 2015 (UTC)
I work on this issue over the next few days. It seems to be a serious violation of Wikipedia:crystal, if not blatant nonsense. Thanks for raising this up! --Lionratz (talk) 10:30, 7 October 2015 (UTC)
Talk:Hume MRT Station#Why do we even need this article? Mind looking into it anyone? -115.66.225.183 (talk) 01:17, 11 November 2015 (UTC)
