I think it might be useful to put the above project link someone as a sublink on this page. Thoughts? Electricmaster (talk) 14:00, 4 April 2024 (UTC)

Song by Cherry Valentine?

Please see Talk:Cherry Valentine. An unregistered editor updated the article to remove mention of a song. I reverted, for now, but I could use help from others to help determine if "Stay Here Forever" is by the subject. ---Another Believer (Talk) 14:06, 25 April 2024 (UTC)

Hi all! A couple months ago, I submitted the above article for a peer review with the hopes of getting it featured. The link is at Wikipedia:Peer review/Not Strong Enough (Boygenius song)/archive1; if anyone is interested, I would love any feedback I can get on how to improve the article to where it is the best it can be :) Dylan620 (he/him • talkedits) 20:52, 2 May 2024 (UTC)

"Songs in the style of" phenomenon

Is there any article which mention phenomenon "songs in the style of"? For example, songs with "Alan Walker Style" in place of artist name. Eurohunter (talk) 18:50, 1 May 2024 (UTC)

I am not acquainted with the phenomenon. Does the style-name replace the performer or the composer? Is this form used in the publication credits of the song? —Tamfang (talk) 07:14, 3 May 2024 (UTC)
@Tamfang: Yes style-name replace the performer. I mean, there are artists which don't promote their names, they just do "Alan Walker Style" music. Eurohunter (talk) 18:27, 5 May 2024 (UTC)

Set of TRAGICALLY HIP SONGS, alphabetized.

I just noticed a few gaps here that might easily be amended:

Category:The_Tragically_Hip_songs

Missing are a song beginning with "O", songs "On the Verge" and "One Night in Copenhagen" are o(bvious,missions,ff_the top_of_this_end_user's_head). Also, if classed as bibliographies circa the Dewey Decimal System then "Werewithal, The" begins the W class in absentia. If non admissible then "When the Weight Comes Down" doesn't require any concessions. Both on the Album "Up To Here" but that doesn't count for U as it is an album. For the U, "Use it Up" suffices nicely. Y="Yer Not The Ocean", fellas and I rest my contribution with my failure to think of Tragically Hip Songs beginning with J, Q, X, Z. They should be made "The"s × 4 when playing Tragically Hip Scrabble, for keeps.

Thanks Wikipeople, John on the Lawn 2001:569:7D78:6300:AD03:C4CA:2572:AFAA (talk) 06:37, 27 May 2024 (UTC)

I fully admit I don't understand entirely what you're saying, but let me try and respond with what I can. For one, none of the songs you mention have existing articles or even redirects, which they would need to be added to this or any categories. Categories are navigational tools, so they won't necessarily contain every single possible entry because not all of those would actually be useful for navigational purposes. As far as I'm aware, there are no rules against creating redirects for all these songs and adding them to this category, but there's probably not much point in doing it anyway. And if your concern is with alphabetization, I believe WP:SORTKEY would help explain our methodology in that regard. QuietHere (talk | contributions) 09:03, 27 May 2024 (UTC)

Audio sample for "I'm Not A Juvenile Delinquent" article page

Greetings,

How are you? Also, for "I'm Not a Juvenile Delinquent," is that okay if I may add an audio sample on the article that signifies a song? Or is it preferred not to be added? Thanks!

Best regards,

Inajd. Inajd Inajd0101 (talk) 02:06, 3 June 2024 (UTC)

There's one there already.Doctorhawkes (talk) 08:24, 3 June 2024 (UTC)

Category:Gangnam Style

Greetings,

How are you? I don't like to sound nosy or anything, but how did Psy's single Gangnam Style have its eponymous category, unlike the rest of the singles? If I am not mistaken. Would you like to explain in simple terms? Just curious.

Thanks,

Inajd. Inajd Inajd0101 (talk) 02:18, 7 June 2024 (UTC)

Because there are multiple associated articles which have been placed in it, and clearly some editor thought it would be helpful to be able to navigate between those articles. Not very many songs get eponymous categories (you can see them all in Category:Wikipedia categories named after musical compositions), but it makes sense to me why this one would. QuietHere (talk | contributions) 02:53, 7 June 2024 (UTC)
Is that okay if I take a screenshot for future reference regarding category? Thanks! Inajd Inajd0101 (talk) 03:12, 7 June 2024 (UTC)

Eponymous category for "Why Do Fools Fall in Love (song)" article

Greetings everyone,

How are you? Just curious, since there are articles associated with the article "Why Do Fools Fall in Love (song)," would that be okay if I may add "Category:Why Do Fools Fall in Love." Thanks!

I asked anyone about why "Gangnam Style" article has its own eponymous category and one person (QuietHere) explained that "there are multiple associated articles which have been placed in it, and clearly some editor thought it would be helpful to be able to navigate between those articles." Thanks!
