Task force
Just wondering whether it might be a suitable proposal to turn this Wikiproject into a task force of Wikipedia:Wikiproject Television rather than have it stagnate? After all, they're kindof the same thing anyway (I gather "task forces" didn't exist until fairly recently) Bob talk 21:48, 24 April 2011 (UTC)

WikiProject merger?
I would like to suggest the merger of this WikiProject and that of Wikiproject British TV shows to form a new WikiProject British TV. It would have two dedicated task forces: TV Channels and TV Shows, but would be a boost to greater co-operation between the two existing WikiProjects which are fairly well linked and involve many of the same participants. Downton Abbey Character Page
Hi there, I've never done anything like this on Wiki so thought I'd ask for some input. Downton Abbey is a hugely successful (see the article) costume drama which is just wrapping up its second series with a third comissioned and being written. The main Wiki page for the show has a list of the characters but no description. I'd like to start a page listing all the names with some decent descriptions entitled something like "List of Downton Abbey characters". Any objections or pointers? Thanks all! Merger of this project into WikiProject Television as a task force
It has been suggested that this project be merged into WikiProject Television as a task force since it might be inactive or semi-active. After reviewing this project, it appears that there have not been any active discussion on the talk page in some time and the only content updates appear to be simple maintenance so being supported by a larger project might be beneficial. Women's History Month is in March

Women's history month is around the corner, in March, and we're planning the second WikiWomen's History Month.
This event, which is organized by volunteers from the WikiWomen's Collaborative, supports improving coverage about women's history during the month of March. Events take place both offline and online. We are encouraging WikiProjects to focus on women's history related to their subject for the month of March. Some ideas include:

Number of episodes in template
A dispute has arisen on the page for Atlantis (TV series) because an IP editor keeps changing the number of episodes from the actual number in the series to the number that have currently been transmitted. I have pointed said editor to other examples of currently first run British TV shows that show the total number of programmes in the series. Can anyone please confirm that my interpretation of the field is correct (or not) - there is no documentation with the template that I can find. PRL42 (talk) 08:02, 29 October 2013 (UTC)

Leaflet for Wikiproject British TV at Wikimania 2014
Hi all,
My name is Adi Khajuria and I am helping out with Wikimania 2014 in London.
One of our initiatives is to create leaflets to increase the discoverability of various wikimedia projects, and showcase the breadth of activity within wikimedia. Any kind of project can have a physical paper leaflet designed - for free - as a tool to help recruit new contributors. These leaflets will be printed at Wikimania 2014, and the designs can be re-used in the future at other events and locations.
This is particularly aimed at highlighting less discoverable but successful projects, e.g:
• Active Wikiprojects: Wikiproject Medicine, WikiProject Video Games, Wikiproject Film
• Tech projects/Tools, which may be looking for either users or developers.
• Less known major projects: Wikinews, Wikidata, Wikivoyage, etc.
• Wiki Loves Parliaments, Wiki Loves Monuments, Wiki Loves ____
• Wikimedia thematic organisations, Wikiwomen’s Collaborative, The Signpost

Unknown comedy series from the UK
Dear WikiProject! I search a British (or Scottish?) comedy television series, probably from the 1990s. The genre is burlesque, sitcome, similar to that of Mr. Bean. The protagonist is a plump man (Bradley?) with distinctive hairstyle: bald head and a long hair knots (as the Turks). The character is also slightly goofy, sometime a mad. Can one or more of you please have a look at Justin's House? There is a long cast list there which has had numerous additions by IP editors. Many names are redlinks, and some point to clearly incorrect people. I can't find a source to check the names against. - 3.) Contribute to an LGBT-related task force at another Wikimedia project (Wikidata, Wikimedia Commons, Wikivoyage, etc.)
Or, view or update the current list of Tasks. This campaign is supported by the Wikimedia LGBT+ User Group, an officially recognized affiliate of the Wikimedia Foundation. Visit the group's page at Meta-Wiki for more information, or follow Wikimedia LGBT+ on Facebook. Remember, Wiki Loves Pride is about creating and improving LGBT-related content at Wikimedia projects, and content should have a neutral point of view. One does not need to identify as LGBT or any other gender or sexual minority to participate. This campaign is about adding accurate, reliable information to Wikipedia, plain and simple, and all are welcome!

Need a UK TV expert!!
Can somebody tell me if Gadzooks! (TV programme) and Gadzooks! It's All Happening are the same TV programme?!... If so, the articles need to be merged. If not, the differences between them need to be spelled out. Thanks in advance! --IJBall (contribs • talk) 18:53, 21 September 2018 (UTC)
- Difficult to say - the Radio Times entries are separate, but seem to feature almost the same people. There was also Gadzooks! It's the In Crowd as well! I reckon it would be safe to merge, since there's very little in either article. Bob talk 22:35, 21 September 2018 (UTC)
- The question them becomes – under which title to merge them?! It's probably safe to assume that Gadzooks! (TV programme) was first and Gadzooks! It's All Happening and Gadzooks! It's the In Crowd were spawned from that... On second thought, looking at the airing dates provided in your source, it may well be that Gadzooks came last!
