Recipe[edit]

I like the recipe section, but I'm afraid it might be out of place at Wikipedia. Should it stay or go? IrisWings 01:20, 17 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sources[edit]

This seems like the source to me (since it is pretty much the same stuff, in a more condensed style): http://www.cliffordawright.com/recipes/imam_bayildi.html - Kvetch 01:44, 4 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Source 3 Doesn't mention this dish - I think it's a mistake — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.202.24.164 (talk) 19:25, 9 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Armenian cuisine as well?[edit]

I believe this dish is also prepared and enjoyed by Armenians. Is this correct? Badagnani 05:30, 25 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That is correct, and they, too, call it by its Turkish name. Of course, this doesn't in any way take away from its status as an item of Turkish cuisine. It just means that Armenians (at least those whose roots are in places which were in the Ottoman Empire) enjoy it, too. Americans may enjoy Bratwurst, but it's still a German dish. No doubt many eastern Mediterranean peoples know and enjoy İmam bayıldı. Xenophon777 21:52, 14 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright violation?[edit]

The text seems for the most part a slightly modified cut-and-paste from the link given above. I have blanked the offending material, but have not deleted it. --Dumarest 19:05, 5 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It seems that the material I made not visible, as copyright violation, has been restored, with another source. But the text is the same as it was, and if it was in fact copied from the link suggested, it is still a copyright violation. I have reverted to the previous unless the material can be referred to and the text in the article NOT be a cut-and-paste from another copyrighted article. --Dumarest 17:21, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
