Speedy Deletion[edit]

I don't see how this fits a Spam article exactly. This cheese article is part of a series List of Irish cheeses and is notable in particular for being the first organic cheddar cheese in Ireland, and winning numerous awards including a silver medal at the World Cheese awards in 2009. It's fully referenced too. Perhaps whoever tagged this article could explain why this is marked as Spam because it doesn't fit the definition. --HighKing (talk) 13:19, 3 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • I missed the awards received. To that end, I have gone ahead and restructured and cleaned up the article, to emphasize notability in the lede. Hope I didn't stress you out. Anytime you have a question, please feel free to contact me. Happy editing! Best regards, Cind.amuse 13:37, 3 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
    • It's OK, thanks for the assist. I'm trying to find a format for the Irish cheese articles that is consistent, and I've been following the format of the other cheese article. From that point of view, it's not consistent to place the notability of the World Cheese award in the lede. But what the hey, it no biggie either. --HighKing (talk) 13:43, 3 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
      • I think there's different ways of looking at it. I agree that there is a lot of inconsistency in articles. I keep the guidelines at WP:LEDE in mind to define the topic, establish context, and explain why the subject is interesting or notable. It's never good to have to search for why a subject is notable. I respect that everyone has their opinions, though. Hope I helped none the less. I agree, it's no biggie. It's all cool. Regards, Cind.amuse 13:55, 3 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
