Untitled[edit]

While spending a little time improving this from a few lines by the original author, I then realised that there is an article entitled Rhône wine. I found the article far more developed already but feel they should be merged - but under which title? - Or developing them separately as the two notions are in fact quite different. I could undertake the splitting and copy editing but would need some feedback first. Kudpung 08:31, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

I think there is good reason to keep both articles. The Rhône wine is already wikilinked from the first sentence of this article, and is therefore easy to find from this article. Please notice the title of this article - Côtes du Rhône AOC. I.e., this is an article on the wines produced under that appellation, not on all Rhône wines. Thus, material on Côte Rôtie wine is not really relevant to this article. (By the way, Côte Rôtie is not a village.) Tomas e (talk) 17:03, 17 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You are right of course, Rotie is indee a cru - I think this got left in from one of the earlier editors. Thanks for all the heavy editing and improvements to style. Looks good. Kudpung (talk) 05:51, 19 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wine Map[edit]

Although the wine map is quite comprehensive it does not include all the cru wine regions e.g Vinsobres. Also it has some colours that are not referenced. It would be better to find a map that does include them. It also quite pointlessly has the overall region and the zoom separate, if it just contained the overall region to the zoom level of the insets it would probably be a smaller map with just as much information.Darlough (talk) 13:41, 27 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

==Côtes du Rhône== I am suggesting that this article is as near complete as it needs to be. Many of the wines of the individual Côtes du Rhône Villages and crus of the appelation now have their own pages and we are working on the others. Articles in an encyclopedia are not necessarily judged on their length. Could we have a new rating please? Kudpung (talk) 09:13, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
