Numerous sources cite this tree as Carya myristiciformis, and numerous others as Carya myristicaeformis.

Myristicae is the latin plural for nutmegs, whence myristicaeformis. But I may just be old-fashioned. Anyone know what Nuttall actually called the thing? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Thehappysmith (talkcontribs) 21:12, 6 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
