Distribution[edit]

According to www.tropicos.org and Brako L & Zarucchi JL 1993: "Catalogue of the Flowering Plants and Gymnosperms of Peru" Missouri Botanical Garden, St. Louis (Missouri) - USA. Caryocar nuciferum L. is not present in Peru. Since the distribution seems to be confined to Central America, Pacific Colombia, and the Northern Amazon and there are no specimens recorded from close to Peru, presence there doesn´t seem to be likely at all either. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.217.144.97 (talk) 20:54, 24 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

According to www.tropicos.org Caryocar nuciferum L. is also present in Costa Rica and Panama
