It is not usually used as an actual dessert anymore?

There are lots of places locally to me that you can still buy custard pies, major restaurant chains like Bob Evans[1], and other "home cooking" style restaurants generally have custard pies, although they can be referred to as cream pies.Fine Arts 18:53, 25 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm highly dubious that custard pie isn't a desert anymore, and I note that my 1996 copy of _The Cook's Bible_ by Christopher Kimball (founder and editor of Cook's Illustrated Magazine) has an entire chapter named "Custard Pies, Chiffon Pies, and Holiday Pies." I'd also argue that the current text would be better moved to Pie_toss, especially given that such events can use any sort of pie (and, as the text notes, even shaving foam) rather than custard in particular. (In fact, I just moved most of the old content to the Pie_toss stub and replaced it with a brief description and recipe.) --Bug 04:49, 9 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Too many pictures?[edit]

I doubt a reader will need this many pictures in order to understand the concept of a custard pie in the face. Does this article really need four pictures? janejellyroll 09:36, 23 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

To the editor who asked "What is the deal with this page?" . . . Welshypm keeps adding pictures (of uncertain copyright status) to the article and refuses to dicuss his/her changes or use edit summaries. Now s/he is increasing the size of one of the pictures to over 900px. janejellyroll 04:35, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've reverted the article back to it's content before User:Welshypm ever touched it. Atleast it resembles an article now. I'll keep an eye out for now and report Welshypm if he/she continues. auburnpilot talk 04:45, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much for your assistance. I had no idea what to do.  :) janejellyroll 04:46, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I've reverted non-encyclopedic content re-introduced by an anonymous editor, including a massively over-sized image. Gee, I wonder who put that back in there? - Itsfullofstars 08:49, 1 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Comedy[edit]

What is the earliest record of custard pies being used in comedy? Tsinfandel (talk) 14:01, 3 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
