WTF[edit]

how the heck does this article get ranked as "mid" level in importance? It's an electric knife for heaven's sake.70.185.98.102 (talk) 04:47, 16 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hoax[edit]

I have removed most of the rubbish under the invention section and locked the article to prevent it being reinserted. Unregistered or new editors who wish to edit the article can ask me at User talk:Spinningspark to remove the protection.

I have left the assertion that Jerome L. Murray is usually credited with its invention since his NYT obituary says he did. However, I am becoming deeply suspicious of this as well. There is precious little turning up on him in searches and what little there is traces back to the NYT obit. In particular, I cannot locate any of his alleged 75 patents. This is very odd for someone who is supposed to have invented such notable things as the aircraft passenger ramp and the peristaltic heart pump. SpinningSpark 18:58, 14 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
