External links/spam[edit]

To DAJF:

As I have stated previously, I feel that adding some links to manufacturers and points of sale of fake food products as a reference should not be considered spam but as rather helpful for those looking to find more information about the industry from those directly involved. Looking forward to your comments.

The guidelines concerning external links at WP:LINKSTOAVOID are pretty clear on this: we don't include "Links to individual web pages that primarily exist to sell products or services, or to web pages with objectionable amounts of advertising." --DAJF (talk) 10:16, 10 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed merge with Fake food in Japan[edit]

The result of this discussion was to merge. McGeddon (talk) 15:36, 4 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The fake food article already covers some aspects of its history and use in Japan, including details not present in the main article. McGeddon (talk) 12:02, 8 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Agree . I don't see any compelling reason to have a separate article just for Japan. Any pertinent and reliably sourced details can be merged from Fake food in Japan to Fake food as necessary. --DAJF (talk) 07:33, 9 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
