Firing a shot across your collective bows[edit]

This is NOT an ad. This is truly a yearly event. It is an attempt each year to set a World Record.

The article, I would say, needs to be rewritten to be encyclopaedic. One could even justify merging it with a general article on world record attempts. The article's phrasing as presented is marketing for the event, pure and simple.

clean up[edit]

I have removed the word refreshing as it is hardly appropriate for the page, and got rid of the toast master general section as it is clearly an ad.

Record[edit]

Can someone confirm that this event is really in the Guinness Book of World records for largest toast? Thank you. RJFJR 01:01, 21 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
