Haakon III of Norway: Why not rename the name of the article to the proper one, Håkon? The use of double aa for å was in use in Norway in the 1800s and in the beginning of 1900s and there is only one (1) Norwegian king that is spelled Haakon and that is king Haakon the 7th. I really hate to see the double aa. --FinnBjo 01:17, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

Mother ?[edit]
How is the "existence" of Haakon III's mother disputed ? The identity of his mother may be in some doubt, but her existence is surely not in doubt. He was not given birth to by his father, nor was he delivered by a stork or found in a cabbage patch.Eregli bob (talk) 18:47, 29 June 2012 (UTC)

Haakon III of Norway → Haakon III – There are no other monarchs with this exact name and numeral. Векочел (talk) 20:32, 21 May 2024 (UTC)
- Support alternative move to Haakon Sverresson for more consistency in names of older Scandinavian monarchs. Killuminator (talk) 14:55, 22 May 2024 (UTC)
