Plot detail incorrect?[edit]

One of Silvia's suitors (played by Bardem) is a wannabe bullfighter, and Silvia's other main love interest (her boyfriend in the early parts of the film) suggests that her breasts taste like ham.

It has been a long time since I saw this film, but I seem to remember it being the wannabe bullfighter that rides the motorcycle that tells her that her breasts taste like ham (and potato omelette oddly enough). I could be wrong though. --86.148.73.228 20:10, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why was the name of the page moved?[edit]

With no consensus seeking and no reasons given, User:Facu-el Millo changed the name of this page on 4 October 2022 from Jamón Jamón to Jamón jamón. There are Spanish sources that use the lower case j for the second word in the title, but this is not customary in the English speaking film industry and this is en.wikipedia after all. Can someone explain this discrepancy? Kire1975 (talk) 04:57, 19 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It seems I missed including a reason for the move in this one, but there's a precedent at Talk:Y tu mamá también#Requested move 3 May 2020 for this move. This is not about Spanish shources using lower case, this is a rule of the Spanish language for titles of works, written in sentence case in Spanish. Many arguments were presented there for sticking to the rules of the original language for foreign titles. If the common name for a film in English-speaking sources is the title in its original language, then the rules of that original language should apply. Applying the rules of the English language to foreign titles would be incorrect, as using title case in a Spanish-language title would be. —El Millo (talk) 05:56, 19 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I am inclined to agree with @Facu-el Millo: as Jamón, jamón is not really an English-language title, but, better yet, we can move the article to Ham, Ham [1] (although other English-language titles also include A Tale of Ham and Passion and Salami, Salami).-Asqueladd (talk) 17:09, 19 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It is one of the English-language titles used in English-language sources. In any case, in regard of the Spanish-language original title Jamón, jamón is preferable to Jamón jamón.--Asqueladd (talk) 17:43, 19 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
