Notability[edit]

This article is treading vanity waters here. Much of the information is outdated and the first source, arguably notable, points to a dead link. See WP: PEOPLE for more information. Halda (talk) 20:57, 6 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Very little information that warrants the subject being called a "technology expert" that passes the WP:Notability test, so I added the template to the page. Generally, someone who works in the technology field in a senior capacity, as he apparently does, could be viewed as an expert. However, even basic notability guidelines state that the person should have received "significant coverage" in multiple secondary sources. Most of the sources previously cited were either the subject's one (personal blog and twitter status) or articles that he published elsewhere. Again, the key here is secondary sources; for instance the NYT article being a good example.

But there's also the issue of whether or not this person has achieved sufficient notability. As of now, it's doubtful. Again, please refer to WP:PEOPLE for guidance. Halda (talk) 22:01, 28 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

My food writing background also includes an appearance on Tony Bourdain's "No Reservations" TV series ("Obsessed" aired in March of 2010 https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1598199/), and I am the founder of eGullet, one of the first food discussion websites from the early 2000s. (that still exists). Regarding recent food industry activity, I wrote for CNN Underscored for two years and published large roundup articles about Pizza Ovens, Solar Generators, Espresso Machines, BBQ Grills, and Carbon Steel cookware.
