"Great for a cold day"? This seems subjective. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2606:6000:CDE4:200:C178:FFF7:A08F:1CC (talk) 11:22, 25 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedy deleted as being about a subject that was invented/coined/discovered by the article's creator or someone they know personally and for lack of asserted importance, because it is a traditional Laos dish that was not made up in the last 24 hours. The link to Khao piak sen was red in the rice noodle category so this was done to fix it. --Chay tea (talk) 06:40, 29 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • @Gparyani: I'm declining this since I do see where this dish is covered in various different outlets, predominantly food blogs ([1], [2], [3], [4]). They're from a varied enough point in time to where this dish does seem to exist and isn't something limited to just one person. Whether or not it's notable enough for an entry is up for debate, though. A point in their favor is that it is listed in this Laos tour guide, though. Merge potential[edit]

If the topic does not meet notability guidelines, this can be merged to Laotian cuisine and List of soups, because it's a verified dish in Laotian cuisine. North America1000 10:39, 29 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Khao piak sen inspired by Banh Canh[edit]

Hello,

I am new at editing Wikipedia, and currently a student at ASU. As part of my assignment for my MCO 426 course we were asked make edits on a Wikipedia article that we are interested. I wanted to add in this article that khao piak sen is a noodle soup inspired and similar to the Vietnamese banh canh noodles. Also, I wanted to add the different choices of toppings we can add to khao piek sen. I am also Laotian and this is my favorite soup! Mochiboba25 (talk) 22:24, 26 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
