Recipes belong over on Wikibooks:Cookbook - they are specifically excluded from Wikipedia (see WP:ISNOT#HOWTO) and should be transwikied to the Cookbook. I'm not sure there would be much left after the recipes were taken out - perhaps the remainder should be merged into Lithuanian cuisine?? FlagSteward 00:51, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, this is fairly interesting as one of a group of foods, including kishka, that exist both as traditional European Jewish foods and as non-Jewish pork-based foods. They are interesting as a cultural or culinary phenomenon, and may be one reason for the popularity of Kosher delicatessens among non-Jews in the US and Canada, particularly non-Jews with eastern European ancestry.
