Different list[edit]

This is a DIFFERENT list than the list of cocktails which is by liquor type

This is alphabetical. It should have existed from the beginning. It is SORELY LACKING.

I USE this list. At my bar the prime time pub we "quiz" each other using this list.

It is very annoying to have to think "what is the main liquor" in a cocktail in order to find the cocktail.

A table of contents and an index are two different things and have different uses.

Removal of button[edit]

There is supposed to be a button so someone can "object" to the speedy deletion of this article.

Someone removed the button.

Does that mean the article will live? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Xandermiller (talkcontribs) 21:28, 17 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Article title[edit]

Does the article title really need the (alphabetical) parenthetical? Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 16:15, 19 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Order[edit]

Following which alphabet is this list "alphabetical" ?

Additional Cocktails - IBA official ones are missing, some Non-IBA could be included[edit]

I have been gathering cocktail information for a personal project and found some discrepancies between this alphabetic page and this page that sorts by liquor type, in particular with the listing of International Bartender's Association (IBA) designated cocktails.

This alphabetical cocktail list doesn’t include the following IBA cocktails:

Barracuda, Brandy Crusta, Canchanchara, Dirty Martini (Former IBA), Espresso Martini, Fernandito, French Martini, Hemingway Special, Illegal, Last Word, Martinez, Mary Pickford, Naked and Famous, New York Sour, Old Cuban, Paper Plane, Penicillin, Rose (Former IBA), Russian Spring Punch, Tipperary, Trinidad Sour, Ve.n.to, Vieux Carre

Additionally, there are some cocktails that are well known (I'm not sure how to back this up with data...) which could be added:

Sidecar

Whiskey Smash

Final Ward (and other Last Word variations)

Moscow Mule (and variations (London, Mexican, Kentucky Mules)

Rum Runner

Radler (Beer +  Fruit Juice)

Shandy (Beer + Lemonade)

Evidently some of these do not have their own Wiki pages yet, which may not be necessary (ex. every variation of the Moscow Mule).

I am unsure of the rules as I am new to editing Wiki, but I at least wanted to add my two cents and write this down. I hope to revisit this in the future - if someone else is willing to give feedback about these changes, I'd appreciate it! Twilbur1997 (talk) 13:34, 18 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
