Doesn't this just duplicate Dairy product which is mainly a list as well? Rmhermen (talk) 16:50, 13 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This article has many entries that are not on the Dairy product page. This is intended to be a comprehensive list overview article of all dairy products; while the dairy product article has elements of a list, it's not entirely one, nor should it be. The dairy product page makes no claim to be only a partial list. Wouldn't the subject be better handled all in one place? By the time you explain what dairy products are here and with that page having a list, I am seeing almost complete duplication. Rmhermen (talk) 15:04, 17 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose - Regarding the Dairy product article: Wikipedia articles are typically preferred to be in a prose format, rather than a list format, and the content at the Dairy product article would significantly benefit from a rewrite into prose formatting. Conversely, list articles don't face this type of formatting preference. Furthermore, this list article has many entries that are not present on the Dairy product page, and this is intended to be a comprehensive list of all global dairy products. Per WP:LISTPURP, this list is a functional navigational aid and functions as a valuable information source. Northamerica1000(talk) 20:06, 17 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Could the Polish dairy product "serek" be added to this list? Products labled serek come in two broad categories: a savoury product that may not be a unique product (I think it's cottage cheese) and a sweet product which is somewhat similar to yoghurt but is clearly a unique product.

Ghee[edit]

Seems like a mention of Ghee would be appropriate? 66.76.242.44 (talk) 20:24, 10 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
