Who says that pop tarts are dumplings? No citation, and neither the page for Dumplings nor Pop Tarts reference each other even by name. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:547:580:4F80:895B:B269:53FC:F665 (talk) 02:29, 12 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
This list has clearly been mismanaged, there's a bunch of things on here that are, for example, pastries. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:2C5:C600:9C20:6D64:684D:112:239D (talk) 17:26, 21 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I don't believe there is any such rule or definition that would mutually exclude dumplings and pastries, at least not by Wikipedia's primary pages for Dumpling and Pastry. If anything, I feel they would have quite a bit of overlap, and do. One of the easiest examples being that Chicken and Dumplings are also known as Chicken Pastries. If you're operating by a special assumption more restrictive than Dumpling's Dumpling is a broad class of dishes that consist of pieces of dough (made from a variety of starch sources) wrapped around a filling, or of dough with no filling, then perhaps that is the issue, here? 64.203.204.130 (talk) 06:17, 20 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
