August 2022 Changes in area leadership[edit]

Hello again, everyone! Based on this announcement, further confirmed here, I have created a subpage here to which we can add those assignments before transferring any subpage changes here once August 1 rolls around. I have created a document showing the chages affecting the GA Seventies on this page (with that list being in alphabetical order by last name). I will begin incorporating the changes noted on that document into the subpage ASAP. Anyone with any questions about the subpage can feel free to post them here. Help Needed: Errors with Emeritus GA Seventy Entries[edit]

Hello again, everyone! I just updated the list of GA Seventies and Emeritus GA Seventies based on the [https://newsroom.churchofjesuschrist.org/article/october-2022-leadership-changes 8 releases] announced today. Subpage Created/What to do about emeritus announcements[edit]

Hello. As I have done in past years, I have created a subpage at User:Jgstokes/List of general authorities of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints/August 2023 to hold the area leadership changes which were announced today. I will be implementing the following changes onto that page:

Additionally, I wanted to ask how we should handle emeritus general authority seventies going forward. During The Sustaining of Church Officers, Dallin H. Oaks noted that Elders Benjamin De Hoyos, Juan A Uceda, and Kazuhiko Yamashita would be released and granted emeritus status effective August 1. Since that was officially announced there, I'm assuming that this policy wouldn't apply in this case. I will add those changes to the subpage, but since they were noted in General Conference, is that something we want to go ahead and change on this page as well? Thanks. Senior President of the Seventy[edit]

With Patrick Kearon's call to the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, he is no longer the Senior President of Seventy. With Carl B. Cook now the senior member thereof, I assume he has become the Senior President of the Seventy. But I also assume we'll have to wait for confirmation before listing that here. Hello again, everyone! In anticipation of the announcement of new area leadership assignments, which was made on Friday, I set up a subpage to hold those changes, as per my yearly tradition. The following changes will be made to that subpage shortly:
