Move notice[edit]

I expect this to be non-controversial, but want to still accommodate any chance of a discussion here. I am recommending that we move this page to Madhu, as that is the common Vedic Sanskrit, Sanskrit, Hindi, Marathi, Nepali root word on which all these derivatives are based. The current Madhu should be moved to Madhu (disambiguation), as all uses of Madhu listed there derive from this one. It is similar to David and David (disambiguation). --Hunnjazal (talk) 15:16, 23 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No response as I suspected, since this feels pretty non-controversial. I have moved Madhu to Madhu (disambiguation). Madhu now redirects to this article (currently called Madhura). The next step will be to rename this article to Madhu as that is the root from which all this other stuff is derived. I will do this in a couple of days, but want to leave open the option for anyone that has issues with renaming this to discuss here. --Hunnjazal (talk) 04:23, 27 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

MadhuraMadhu — This article should really be called Madhu, as that is an important root concept from which all these names like Madhur/Madhura/Madhuri/etc are derived. It is the core concept from which all other Madhu references emerge. Madhur continues to be mentioned in a names section in this article. This move is pretty uncontroversial. I've left the discussion up for about a week with no interest. None is expected either.--Hunnjazal (talk) 03:41, 29 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support. Agree this is bordering on uncontroversial, but I think you're doing the right thing raising it here and giving a well-presented case. An example to be commended. Andrewa (talk) 06:08, 30 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Andrewa, your comments are much appreciated! --Hunnjazal (talk) 17:43, 30 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
