Girls'School?[edit]

Current staff member Ms Jo Williams has been appointed to a deputy principal position within the Girls' School. What Girls' School? GrahamBould 11:01, 14 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Every Nation[edit]

The links between Every Nation are undeniable, as are the controversies related to every Nation. The entry is encyclopedic and referenced. This page is not the property of the school and they cannot just remove things they don't approve ofOsakadan 13:31, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The activities of Every Nation belong properly at the Every Nation article. It may be worth adding a section to that article on their activities in New Zealand. For individual schools, only the activity of Every Nation at that school is relevant.-gadfium 19:23, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Cleanup[edit]

A few more in-text refs would be nice as would summarising the alummni section (this section also reads as if an advertorial for the school). Not sure if the "staffing legends" section is entirely encyclopedic. Goldfinger820 (talk) 02:52, 29 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The MAGSO article does make some claim to notability, as the largest/most advanced observatory of any school in New Zealand, but the website linked to claims to be the website of the Royal Astronomical Society of New Zealand, Education section, and in any case is under construction. It appears that the observatory is one of many components of the school and there is no reason given why it should have its own article. The MAGS article is only about 7 kb and does not need to be split into sub-articles.-gadfium 09:05, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Request for citations. Quote taken from wikipedia citations - when to cite:

There is nothing contentious, false or inappropriate within this section. It is also subject-specific common-knowledge. Citations are also sources about themselves and dificult to verify by wikipedia standards. That depends on which definition of contentious one is using. As an example, the first paragraph ends "...possesses the largest and most advanced telescope of any school in New Zealand." Without a third party reference that could be interpreted as no more than a peacock term.
You are clearly editing in good faith. So why not finish the job by providing a few more references; the observatory's own site will suffice if that is the best you can find. Then the issue goes away. -Arb. (talk) 13:23, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

How the hell do we rewrite sports?[edit]

The sports section on this page is..... Not very factual. I've tried to rewrite it a few times now but it always comes back to not being able to cite my claims I.E "Mags offers a wide range of sport" OhManFunkDat (talk) 20:22, 1 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

2015 Pornographic Email Event[edit]

In 2015, an email containing a pornographic image was sent to the all the school's students. The school filed a complaint with police.

I don't see this as being all the important an event, but if it is going to go in at least it has to be properly sourced. You cannot claim that it ws reported to police and source that to a ref that clearly says it was not reported to the police. Meters (talk) 00:09, 22 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
