Number of locations[edit]

The idea that Noble Roman's has 800 locations is frankly ridiculous.

Google Maps shows 16 open locations. Menuism shows 24 stores, some of which are permanently closed. Localstore.net shows 69 locations, many of which are permanently closed.

I don't know if Noble Roman's ever had 800 active outlets but it certainly does not now. The fact that they claimed to in 2016 doesn't mean anything, as this is a company most known for falsifying franchise info. Predestiprestidigitation (talk) 18:52, 18 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Some more information on the locations mystery: Per https://www.pizzatoday.com/pizzeria-rankings/2017-top-100-pizza-companies/ Noble Roman's supposedly has 2,422 locations - yet Google seems to only know about 16 of them, and they make less gross revenue than regional chains with 100 or fewer stores. The answer is here: https://www.ibj.com/articles/65817-noble-romans-new-tack-a-back-to-future-strategy

"Scott Mobley in an August statement called the stand-alone concept, Noble Roman’s Craft Pizza & Pub, “potentially the company’s most valuable growth opportunity,” allowing it to increase revenue more quickly than it could solely from its main business of franchising Noble Roman’s outposts in non-traditional locations, including convenience stores and hospitals, and licensing grocery stores to sell freshly made pizzas. Noble Roman’s has about 750 nontraditional locations, and it has licensing deals with about 2,000 groceries, perhaps half of which are actively participating at any given time."

These numbers are counting convenience stores and grocery stores that sell pre-made pizzas branded under the Noble Roman's name as "Noble Roman's restaurants." Obviously, we do not count every grocery store that sells TGI Friday's-branded frozen potato skins as a TGI Friday's store. Similarly, we should only count actual Noble Roman's restaurants - of which there appear to be 16 - here. Predestiprestidigitation (talk) 18:58, 18 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

It's happening again[edit]

Being the supplier of pizza to a bowling alley is not the same as having a franchised restaurant location. There were not 800 Noble Roman's locations in 2016, or 2019, or at any other time despite efforts from a notoriously unethical company to portray itself as more successful than it is. Question: Does anyone remember Noble Roman's having a jingle of "444-4444 Bring's Noble Roman's to your door." I know that 444-4444 is now the phone number for the Indianapolis Star, but I belive that was Noble Roman's number before. I have not been able to confirm this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Xanderphillips (talkcontribs) 13:34, 2 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yet more fabrication of number of outlets[edit]

Noble Roman's claims to sell its take-and-bake pizzas at between 1000 and 2000 grocery stores (representing around 6% of supermarket locations in the U.S.) but I can't find any grocery store that says they carry them. Kroger, Wal-Mart, Safeway, Target, Food Lion, Meijer, H.E.B., and Albertson's don't. I kept going down the list of largest grocery store chains and I couldn't find a single one that lists Noble Roman's products on their website.

Can anyone provide an example of a grocery store that does carry this product, or a source for the "1000-2000" number other than Noble Roman's PR materials? Predestiprestidigitation (talk) 05:17, 24 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
