Cross-media Character[edit]

Sif (Cinematic Marvel Universe) (Jaimie Alexander should be in the table, having appeared in several Thor films, Agents of SHIELD and Loki. ntnon (talk) 13:14, 6 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Non-MCU content[edit]

This page includes marvel content that is certified "NOT MCU."

Though the inclusion of Loki and What if...? is tricky in any one continuity, it's content has ramifications in the MCU main continuity, so keeping Loki and What If...? on the page is reasonably sensible as part and parcel of the Multiverse Saga.

Content that should not be included on this page includes Marvel Zombies and Spider-Man: Freshman/Sophomore Year. These animated series are known to be not only outside the MCU continuity, but to have no importance to that continuity. Being produced by Marvel Studios is not enough for their inclusion in this page, and I propose we remove them from this page. P. They are still confirmed to be part of the MCU multiverse, which is valid for inclusion on this outline. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 02:29, 10 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
They are MCU from a real-world perspective. InfiniteNexus (talk) 15:28, 12 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Your idea of an MCU "real-world perspective" relies entirely on a terrible misunderstanding of several words, if this is its conclusion. Please explain how you make this work. P. LeMeilleur 15:25, 22 August 2023 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by PrestonLeMeilleur (talkcontribs)
For the MCU multiverse (which is different than a universe), every Spider-Man movie starring Andrew Garfield or Tobey Maguire is more valid for inclusion, having seen an actual crossover. Should we list all of Marvel's content in this page? I'm sure you wouldn't consent to that, but that is what you have proposed. P. LeMeilleur 15:23, 22 August 2023 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by PrestonLeMeilleur (talkcontribs)
They were both officially announced as part of the MCU, even though in alternate timelines. —El Millo (talk) 15:51, 22 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Featured List Nom?[edit]

@ZooBlazer, Facu-el Millo, Favre1fan93, InfiniteNexus, and Adamstom.97: I was going through this outline and it occurred to me that this could be a good candidate for a featured list, given the other lists this points to have already reached that status and how much of this content is not present at the main MCU article anymore. I think this outline meets many of the requirements identified at Wikipedia:Featured list criteria, although my only main causes for concern would be to do with the potential for this to be viewed as having WP:CONTENTFORKing and for the prose issues, which is rather lacking in that territory compared to something like List of accolades received by The Batman (film). I did some fine tuning by already adding alt text for the logo at the main MCU article and added descriptions on what the Phases are. I would just like some more perspectives and thoughts on this before moving forward, though I think I could nominate it as one of the primary authors. Trailblazer101 (talk) 00:18, 17 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure how it would be viewed at FLC, but like you brought up, the lack of prose would need to be fixed before a nomination. Beyond that, I don't see any harm in it being nominated. -- ZooBlazer 01:24, 17 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don't have any concerns with this being nominated for FL, I'm also interested to see how it goes. - adamstom97 (talk) 07:24, 17 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That's great to hear! I really appreciate the feedback. I've expanded the lead with more of a brief overview of the subject with points I thought were relevant to address starting off, and I've transcluded the video game tie-ins from the main MCU article, as well. I also went ahead and fixed some formatting issues on the tie-in comics article to help with readability for that table. I may just add some brief explanations of select sections (such as the One-Shots and music) where applicable so they are not barren or only reliant on tables without added text. I'll wait and see if anyone else has any thoughts while I perform these updates before moving forward with the nom. Trailblazer101 (talk) 21:05, 17 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have gone another round of expanding the lead with relevant film mentions (ie Iron Man and Endgame), the box office, all-time ranking, and noting other studios' shared universe attempts as those seem interesting for a hook. I have also transcluded a brief overview of the music section from the main MCU article. I think this is now sitting at a stable position to the point it is ready for a FLC, and I will move forward with the nomination later tonight should there be no objections. I kind of want to move fast on this as I have some free time coming up. If need be, I am open to including {{Transcluded section}} instances, though I'm holding off from those for now. Trailblazer101 (talk) 21:34, 18 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Just an FYI, if you do reviews for other lists, you'll likely get people to review your nom sooner. Kind of unofficial QPQs -- ZooBlazer 00:23, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, good to know. Thanks! I'll take a look around some other candidates and review them. Trailblazer101 (talk) 01:35, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Happy to follow along/assist with answering review questions/comments if I'm around. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 18:03, 24 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Trailblazer101: The more featured outlines, the better. An outline recently received featured list status, the first one to do so ever. You might want to check it out, to see how smooth the process went: Wikipedia:Featured list candidates/Outline of lichens/archive1.    — The Transhumanist   12:47, 24 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for providing this example! It's definitely going to help out a lot! I agree, we definitely need to get more outlines as featured lists! Trailblazer101 (talk) 16:57, 24 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

X-Men '97[edit]

I don't have Disney+ access, but I cam across an article yesterday stating X-Men '97 is included in Disney+ list of MCU TV Shows. Should it not be also included in this list? Syed Ahmed Qasim (talk) 04:46, 25 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

There is an existing discussion about this at Talk:X-Men '97. - adamstom97 (talk) 06:27, 25 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
