Photos for this article[edit]

I've spent a while looking on Flickr for appropriately-licensed photos for this article and can't find any. If anyone could take some, or upload some you've already taken, I'd appreciate it. Helpful photos might include:

  • The school itself
  • Cheerleaders
  • Marching band
  • Other athletics: basketball, football, baseball, soccer, lacrosse, track, cross country, etc.

Assessment[edit]

It has been requested I re-assess this article at WP:WPSCH/A#R, I am giving it C / Mid. There is some content here which suggests Mid-importance such as the alumni and game show appearances, though I will overlook the lack of referencing.

The history section has one large paragraph that could do with splitting, some parts of it also read like an essay making an assessment, such as To the board's credit, it kept its word, even though a full generation had passed since the original agreement. Stick to reporting information as sources say per WP:V, avoid original research. Much of the article is unreferenced, with large referencing gaps in the article. Much of the same sources are repeatedly used, try and have a variety to help meet WP:NPOV. I would also use citation templates as much as possible to make the references look tidier, see WP:CITET. A few bits of the article are also rather promotional, for example Dunbar's band and cheerleading programs have won national acclaim, while PLD has earned a local reputation as an outstanding school, excelling in academics, athletics, and fine arts. It is all right to report what GreatSchools.net says, but more as GreatSchools.net says bla bla bla, and perhaps as part of a lead which summaries the article per WP:LEAD, rather than one that just focuses on the best aspects of the school.

School programmes rarely justify their own article; Math, Science, and Technology Center currently does not pass WP:N, it needs to do in order to be kept. If the programme can't meet WP:N it should be merged into this article.

The athletics section is extensive though other extra-curricular activities should be mentioned too if possible. Remember also that Wikipedia articles are aimed at an international auidence. When I read football, I think of association football, yet this article seems to be talking about American football. I would recommend using the article titles of the related sports article, as they have been determined by consensus as the appropriate non-ambiguous names for the sport.
