Reliable sources?[edit]

The history linked (in Finnish) is quite reliable and very accurate. For example:

Aitoon porilaiseen tulee siis kahden paahdetun leipäsiivun väliin noin sentin paksuinen massa Metsästäjää. Täytteeksi tulee raakaa sipulia hakkeena tai renkaina, kurkkusalaattia, sinappia ja ketsuppia. Aitouden tuntee nimenomaan leivästä (ei sämpylästä) ja makkarasta. Porilaisessa pitää olla valkosipulin maku!

translates roughly to:

Genuine porilainen is made of two roasted bread slices with about one centimeter thick slice of onion flavoured sausage. Other fillings are raw onion (chopped or rings), cucumber salad, mustard and ketchup. The real porilainen can be recognized from the bread (no buns) and the sausage. Porilainen must have a taste of garlic in it!
