Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because there is no page on wikipedia at all for this bar. The bar did genuinely exist and deserves a page here. I wonder if the reason for wanting to delete this page is because people want the bar of the same name in Key west, Florida to be the only related search?

Again, further effort to remove this page. I have added a source and would like to add more information, along with other sources. But will they too be marked for deletion? I'm not an expert at addind or editing pages on here (as you all can tell) but i would like to add my knowledge and my own photographs to the page - i can't because i don't know the coding to add an image and secondly, everything i try to add is marked for deletion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Comrade sean (talkcontribs) 16:25, 25 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have just been notified that personal research is not acceptable on here. My own sightings and ia photograph i have taken myself are the pieces of "personal research" i have included - if i write a book, have it published, then reference myself, will this suffice. Seems a little over-the-top for exactly the same information, yet theis is something which would no-doubt accept? I'm a little unsure as to what i can be allowed to contribute to wikipedia if i constantly have to cite other peoples work. Do you accept plaguerism but not accept original work? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Comrade sean (talkcontribs) 16:59, 25 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Another reference and an image have now been added - does this suffice to keep my page on wikipedia? The basics of the page are referenced and teh restoration project is genuine, as can be seen in the photo. The existence of the bar can be seen in the movie i have linked to - "our man in havana". I don't now see any valid reason for page deletion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Comrade sean (talkcontribs) 18:13, 25 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
