Other common soups?[edit]

Interesting to see this in DYK. I was looking at the article recently. For me, in Ontario, Canada, the first soup that springs to mind is not tomato but chicken noodle soup. I did not know tomato soup was the most common pairing and tried to do some research. I did find evidence that tomato soup is the most popular, but nothing on other pairings. Common outside the U.S.?[edit]

I was under the impression that soups with sandwiches were common in most of the world that individually has soups and sandwiches. At the very least, in a few western nations outside the U.S., right? Also, the linked references don't explicitly state the soup and sandwich is only a U.S. thing; the For Dummies book makes no claim of regionality and the Bold book seems to suggest it's universal.
