The trivia section contains either a misplaced set of sentences, or sentences that need to be made much more clear:

Sticky Toffee Pudding was the winning ice cream flavor in the 2006 Häagen-Dazs contest, submitted by Judiaann Woo. Sticky Toffee Pudding ice cream was slated to be produced from July 2006 to January 2007. Due to its popularity, it will be released as a full-time flavour. The pudding itself was enhanced and further developed by Lisa Kenyon for her niece Sarah Bruce, a big fan of the pudding and anything chocolatey. Both live in Yorkshire.

The part beginning "The pudding itself..." seems to be inappropriate. Does it mean that Lisa Kenyon is putting in a claim for creating sticky toffee pudding? Or did she develop the pudding upon which the ice cream flavor was based?

And does anyone care that Sarah Bruce is a fan of "anything chocolatey"? (Other than Sarah herself and, apparently, Ms. Kenyon.)

I am removing this sentence for now, unless someone can explain what it means and why it belongs where it is. 76.100.205.82 21:38, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, and removing the sentence telling that both live in Yorkshire as well. 76.100.205.82 21:43, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am removing the sentence "It was originally called "icky sticky toffee sponge." Unless someone can find a source I don't believe it should be in the article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.220.238.174 (talk) 01:03, 31 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Is there a reason why Judiaann Woo links off to a page that doesn't exist? Is a Wikipedia page currently in the works for her? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.169.237.21 (talk) 18:51, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

IMO I don't think any of that paragraph belongs in this article. It's an intrusive bit of product placement for Haagen Dazs and adds nothing to the article of note or interest. Traveller palm (talk) 18:49, 19 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I will go farther than the last comment and say the last four paragraphs under "Origins" (starting with the one about Johnny Depp) not only do not belong under "Origins" (obviously), but are simply random trivia and could be removed without harming the article. As Wikipedia encourages readers to "do it", I am wiping them out, since it enhances our understanding of sticky toffee pudding not one whit to know O Magazine said it was sexier than Colin Firth or that Johnny Depp sucks it up and worries about calories. 69.140.128.123 (talk) 06:14, 21 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Remove - I agree. The article doesn't need trivia (even sourced trivia). It does need sources for the main article, but that's a different matter entirely.
