Untitled[edit]

There are some people in the industry who think SubZero refrigerators are not quite as good as they are trumped up to be; the article here seems a little bit commercially slanted and biased.

Wow, yeah, this is an incredible advertisement. Personally I think it should be a deleted, and perhaps some NPOV article on the company be put up instead. This is no Wikipedia-class article.

my edit: they are good refrigerators but ppl hate them because you can't open the door for 10 seconds after you close it. That is why so many ppl hate them. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.91.29.44 (talk) 18:19, 5 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed reads like an ad — Preceding unsigned comment added by Alexcreatorz (talkcontribs) 18:52, 3 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

In Response to the December 2005 Post[edit]

The Sub Zero article seemed objective using terms such as "claims to have invented" "professional style" "some people feel" "which is said". If industry statistics are accurate, Sub-Zero's last 17-20 years, other refrigerators about 8-11. The Sub Zero warranty is up to 12 years which actually hurts its rating in Consumer Reports (which is considered very biased in some circles) b/c Sub-Zero customers are more likely to repair their refrigerator rather than replace it b/c the warranty is so long.

Sub-Zero is actually made by Sub-Zero which cannot be said about many brands these days...it's produced in Madison WI and Phoenix AZ. Most Sub Zero owners find that the dual refrigeration system keeps food fresher longer which is a money saver in terms of food spoilage costs. Like most high end luxury brands, there is a reason for the cache attached to that brand.

History of previous edits[edit]

I discovered this article by chance back in December (whilst looking for misspellings of "acquire"). It looked to me like a straight "cut-and-paste" from an advertisement. I added phrases like "claims to have invented" and "some people think" for NPOV. But I'm British, and I'm in no position to judge whether the topic deserves a Wikipedia article at all. So if anyone wants to nominate it for deletion, that's fine by me. CarolGray 08:40, 7 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It should be kept, as there are pages for most of its competitors.

This should be made part of a disambiguation page, as Sub-Zero is also the name of a character in Mortal Kombat.

Distribution[edit]

Is it worth adding some notes on distribution? Often the terms vary greatly between countries. In Australia, for example, I know they are exclusive to Appliances Online and Winning Appliances. 125.255.85.74 (talk) 22:35, 6 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Nonsense phrase[edit]

I think that this should be deleted: "Their dealers are strictly vetted and must closely follow advertising and pricing procedures supplied by the manufacturer in order maintain the ability to distribute their products." — Preceding unsigned comment added by Theeurocrat (talkcontribs) 18:41, 26 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Innovations[edit]

There is a reference to being the "only company to employ dual-refrigeration technology". But there is no explanation of what "dual-refrigeration technology" is, only what it can ostensibly do.101.98.175.68 (talk) 22:00, 27 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Logos[edit]

I've added logos from a PDF source on their site. I found nicer logos in their brochure, but sadly the images don't like being converted to SVG. If someone wants to take a stab at it, the print-ready logos are available here (archive URL here). Source for the simple logos is on the image description pages (same source for all three). —Locke Coletc 00:29, 15 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
