Untitled[edit]

I came to this page looking for information about the town of Tiffin, Ohio. I think a entry for Tiffin, Ohio should be created and a disambiguation page created to distinguish between the two. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 169.253.4.21 (talk) 13:15, 1 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Still in use[edit]

The article says "Not so long ago, in India, the word was mostly..." - why? Tiffin still means what it did - a packed lunch placed in a tiffin carrier (the stacked set of containers with its insulated cover is a tiffin carrier - Google it for a picture and description). The human carrier is still a dabbawala. --Ash 12:37, 9 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject class rating[edit]

This article was automatically assessed because at least one WikiProject had rated the article as start, and the rating on other projects was brought up to start class. BetacommandBot 20:08, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright violation[edit]

The page that is linked to in the notes (http://www.worldwidewords.org/weirdwords/ww-tif1.htm) is "copyright © Michael Quinion, 1996–2009. All rights reserved." Yet much of the wording in this article is straight from that page. --Mmm (talk) 06:50, 17 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Tiffin - cakes reference[edit]

My mother has been making Tiffin, as a cake without fruit for more than 40 years. My mum's "Tiffin cakes" have been made, pictures taken and posted to a website. I am not sure if I have done it correctly, but picture upload is unavailable to my account, as is posting a link to the picture/simple recipe. Please advise, thanks —Preceding unsigned comment added by Hoover68 (talkcontribs) 22:04, 10 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
