MEDRS[edit]

EEng, MjolnirPants - do you think you could get a WP:MEDRS compliant source for the first sentence of the fourth paragraph? Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 12:48, 19 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Eh. Either way it's a little off topic. No idea whether there's enough to write watermelon juice, but for comparison, it wouldn't really fit to have generic statements about the nutritional value of orange juice on Tropicana Products, since one is about the juice and the other is about the brand. It may be tough to find an independent source (marketing industry publication?) describing how a given product is promoted, but actually I'm not sure you need an independent source. I think it's just within the OR bounds to say, "Tsamma ads in 2018 promoted health benefits as blah and blah and blah", citing the ads themselves, which are reliable for their own content. I did look for formal medical sources discussing the health benefits of watermelon juice, didn't find anything really, and you wouldn't normally expect to find a particular brand -- much less a particular brand's marketing -- discussed in such sources. Why problem with AA?[edit]

@EEng: I couldn't tell what exactly you meant by this edit summary. Would you explain what the COI for Anthony Appleyard is? I couldn't find anything in a quick google search. —DIYeditor (talk) 06:30, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • @DIYeditor and EEng: He likely saw the word "Apple" in my surname. I am in England. I have no connection with the fruit or juice trade. My surname likely means that one of my way-back male-line ancestors in the early Middle Ages, lived in or near an apple orchard. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 09:18, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I can't get over that you actually linked apple. EEng 15:19, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Just don't let him near the article for Zune. GMGtalk 15:30, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I went to Appledore railway station once and was disappointed by the lack of apples there. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 13:44, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@GreenMeansGo: I was going to ask if it was a joke, but I figured that would be rude and it was unlikely someone would use edits for jokes. I should have realized that EEng is known for joking around. —DIYeditor (talk) 17:00, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Unlikely is my middle name: E "Unlikely" Eng. Have you visited The Museums recently? EEng 18:13, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
