Mergers[edit]

I've removed the merge to Alsace wine tag, as VT does get used in other regions of France (and I think in Luxembourg too). I can see an argument for merging into dessert wine but I think there's now enough of it to stand alone. Plus it's the sort of thing that you will want to link to in its own right; there's an analogy with Beerenauslese there. By the same token, I haven't started a separate article on SGN - it is probably enough to create a redirect here?FlagSteward 20:06, 26 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Misc[edit]

Anyone got a link to the original of Hugel's Law?

I'm not sure why Wnissen thinks that VT's are 'normally' dry table wines - I've had quite a few, and the only ones that were even getting close to 'dry' were some of the Trimbach ones, but they are the exception rather than the rule, and I would still put them at Spatlese rather than 'dry'.

I've at least one label kicking around, I'll mebbe get round to scanning it some time. FlagSteward 20:06, 26 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I see 213.114.34.95 has reduced the target percentages required under Hugel's Law. Given that I referenced them from a Hugel document written after the changes in 2001, I believe they should be correct - are you sure that you're not using the pre-2001 values? Unless you can come up with references within a couple of days, I'll revert your changes. FlagSteward 20:46, 28 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
