Glassware[edit]

Boston Mahatma[edit]

I agree with the commment below that Lomasney's nickname "Mahatma" is irrelevant to the Ward Eigth cocktail, however, the name was in use during his lifetime, as, for example, when it was used in a September 7, 1904 Boston Evening Transcript story about Lomasney. The nickname "Boston Mahatma" comes from the book of that title by Leslie Ainley. The book was first published in 1949, and as far as I can tell Lomasney was never called by that name before the book came out. So I don't think it's appropriate to bring it up here.
