Happy Yet Apocalyptic[edit]

It is a terribly sweet song... yet there is a section of the lyrics that has an odd ring to it. "And Windy has stormy eyes that flash at the Son of Lies..."

"Rumor"?[edit]

From the article"According to rumor, the original lyrics by Ruthann Friedman were about a man..." "According to rumor" seem an odd way to put it. On the demo (easily found on YouTube, and worth a listen, especially if you found the Association a bit too "poppy"), she clearly sang "Smiling at everybody he sees" (emphasis mine).
