Nomination[edit]

Linguist111 (testing) (talk · contribs) – I have decided to nominate Linguist111 (testing) for adminship. Do not be fooled by his contribs page—he has actually made 14 edits during his time on Wikipedia [1]. While that isn't a lot of edits, Lingist111 (testing) showed in those few edits that he knows about rollback, alternative accounts, sandboxes, and even created his own common.js page. This suggests that he is a fast learner and can be trusted with the admin tools. This, along with his username, also suggests that he is a blatantly obvious sockpuppet of myself, but I'm putting that aside. Linguist111my talk page 00:52, 1 April 2019 (UTC)

The candidate has a firm grip on non-reality, and, considering the Wikipedia tradition of instant-gratification on April Fools Day, should be promoted without discussion. Randy Kryn (talk) 14:48, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
Candidate, please indicate acceptance of the nomination here: Thank me! Linguist111 (testing) (talk) 00:59, 1 April 2019 (UTC)

Questions for the candidate[edit]

Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia as an administrator. Please answer these questions to provide guidance for participants:

1. What administrative work do you intend to take part in?
A: All of it, especially UAA.
2. What are your best contributions to Wikipedia, and why?
A: All of them!
3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
A: No. I'm just going to block everyone who disagrees with me.
3.14159265358979323846264338327950288419716939937510 Where were you at around 3:00 pm on April 31, 2018? - Ɔ\ ⱯƎꓶZ 17:19, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
ᗄ: I remember clearly: my memory is completely clear of it!
3.14159265358979323846264338327950288419716939937511 How about 1:28 am on December 32? - Ɔ\ ⱯƎꓶZ 17:33, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
ᗄ: I can remember what I did at that time the night before last. I was doing absolutely nothing. I must have been doing nothing because I was in the exact same spot at 2:00:00 a.m. as I was at 12:59:59 a.m.!
4. Do you think you are good-looking enough to be an admin? Deb (talk) 11:26, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
A: Well, I'm very good at looking for vandalism, finding it, and reverting it. So I would say yes.

Answers for the candidate[edit]

Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia as an administrator. Please question these answers to provide guidance for the participants:

A: We should ensure all IP editors identify themselves publicly with their photos, phone numbers and home addresses to the Foundation before they start editing. These should be uploaded for public view to ensure any editor who has an issue with them can first reach out to the said editors before reporting them at ANI.
1: What measures will you undertake to ensure that Wikipedia is not vandalised by IP editors?
A: One way could be inviting celebrities to vandalize our pages; and to publicise the turnaround time so that our current editors can be praised.
2: People think that Wikipedia is unreliable and "fake" because it can be edited by absolutely anyone and therefore gets vandalised a lot. Can you think of any ways to prove to the masses that Wikipedia has plenty of competent editors, and that most vandalism gets undone almost instantly?

You may ask optional questions or answers below. There is a minimum of twenty-seven UAA questions or answers and fifty-four questions or answers written in foreign languages per editor. Multi-part questions or answers disguised as one answer or question are allowed. Follow-up questions or answers relevant to answers and questions you have already asked are allowed.

  8. Support as I know a sockpuppeteer outside of Wikipedia and how much it would mean to him if he was granted admin rights. It is obvious how much he needs these admin rights. Any way, what's the danger? Admins can't do silly things anyway. I know the best wiki (talk) 14:55, 1 April 2019 (UTC)

  3. Vehemently Emphatic Super Mega-Pluperfect Oppose with Bells and Whistles, Oak Leaves, Swords and Diamonds, and Flashing Fluorescent Lights: Look at the way this RfA has been slanted... not only the contents but even the table of contents are raised on the left hand side and lower on the right. Gravitation draws objects downward, demonstrating that everything about this RfA is drawing us to the right, the ideological position that is already undermining everything authentically Wikipedian. The "test" here is actually an insidious plot to install an admin who will claw their way into the Wikipedia Senate, undermine galactic law, and self-promote themselves to Imperial Overlord of the Founder. Jimbo is at stake here, we must rally to his support... or, at least, we should take an interest in the content of the encyclopaedia and avoid a far right wing admin corps controlled by a potential Voldemort through the Imperius Curse. General comments[edit]
  • We get these new editors and their enthusiasm, but they almost never go through our draconian polling service. Ought we just drop this RfA farce and tell everyone the truth: that the cabal picks the admins and we just have democracy theater to placate the plebs? Chris Troutman (talk) 02:37, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
